Creative GridsPineapple Trim Tool for 6, 8 or 10in Finished Blocks - CGRJAW3

So I'm a somewhat beginner quilters. I've made 6 quilts total in my life, and none had super complicated blocks. The hardest block I've ever made was just composed of half square triangles (as I said, I'm more beginner.)So never in my dreams would I think I could attempt, let alone actually make, a Pineapple Block. And I'm certainly not skilled or knowledgeable enough to try paper piecing one (which is how I usually see them being made.)Imagine my surprise when I find a ruler that does all the work for me. I purchased the ruler, watched two YouTube tutorials on how to use it. One from Missouri Star Quilt Company and another tutorial from Shabby Fabrics. Then got out my scraps and gave it a try. And it worked perfect on the 1st try!!!! I couldn't believe how easy it was. With squaring up every round it just made everything lay nice and flat and even.I highly recommend this ruler to anyone who thought pineapple blocks were too advanced or out of their reach. Especially us beginners!!

I have avoided the pineapple block ever since I tried one years ago and it was a wonky disaster. After seeing this tool demonstrated, I bought one and for the first time turned out perfect blocks and a beautiful table runner. I love it so much that I just ordered the mini pineapple templet for smaller projects. The directions are easy to follow and the tool squares up each round so that the block is square and lies flat. The other great thing about this order is the speed with which it arrives. Very little wait time before plunging into my project.

Good quality and well made. Ordered so I can try my hand at a pineapple block. Can't wait to give it a try. Comes with instruction pamphlet. This will make it so much easier than paper piecing.

I've bought many 'Specialty' Rulers in the past and wasted my money, they are all packed away gathering unuse! But this one is a Must Have for all you Quilters out there who are frustrated and think not to buy anymore rulers. It WORKS!!! Can't say enough good about how it works. Made a Pineapple quilt years ago & thot it was ok, but never attempted another one & Always wanted to (mine was not exactly shaped. BUT, now, u can make it easily with NO squaring up using this Ruler! Easy instructions & a couple of videos out there to demo it. It's well worth the $$$

I'm starting on a pineapple block quilt. I believe the block will be accurate. But the ruler uses a lot of fabric that ends up as scraps.

This trim tool is a little more challenging than some of the other CG trim tools/rulers. Once you figure out how to use it, you will love it. The pineapple quilt design is a difficult one to master and it is easy to distort the block. You will not have those problems using this tool. My only complaint is the instructions are less than stellar. You can find better instructions online than their written instructions. You can use this trim tool for other blocks than the pineapple block. I find myself using it more often than my regular rulers. It helps so much with pinpoint accuracy.

I have been using creative grids rulers for some time now and keep adding to my collection. You might think that a particular ruler is meant form”just one thing” but there are many different creative uses with them.

I have not used the pineapple grid yet but was impressed with the quality of the product and the multiple guide lines on it.

Wasn’t a real creative grids ruler. The printing was backwards, and the measurements for sizing was wrong.
