PEC Tools Rigid 12" 4R Titanium Nitride Coated Extreme Scratch Resistant Ultra High Contrast Machinist Engineer Ruler Scale with Markings 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 & 1/64 402-012TN

I bought the TiN-coated version simply to see what it was like. I didn't need a titanium nitride coated ruler - I mean, how much wear is a ruler subjected to? It turned out to be exceptionally high quality, precision ground and with deep etchings. The four different scales are very convenient. The gold contrasts well with the black etchings, making it extremely easy to read. My other Starrett rules are all satin-chrome finish and this is just like them only in a easier-to-read form.PEC is a top-notch company, kind of like what Starrett and B&S used to be. Still made in the Good Old USA.

I really like this rule, it is rigid and the markings are easily seen.
