Cadbury Cherry Ripe Chocolate Bars – 12-Piece Share Pack (180g) – Made in Australia – Juicy Cherries and Coconut in Rich Dark Chocolate

Great taste which brought back memories of trip to Sydney, Australia.

I probably would have paid anything to get Cherry Ripes because they were my favorite candy while living in Australia. This price however was reasonable, especially not having to pay shipping with Prime.Love that they are bite size and they weren't stale; still had that same great flavor.They are a cherry flavored coconut candy covered in dark chocolate so if you like all those flavors then you will love this candy bar.

Friends of ours gave us a couple of these small candies and we loved them. We ordered from Amazon and received them the next day. I am glad that we were home at the time (in Texas) as it was 100 degrees plus at that time. I immediately opened the box. The candy is chocolate and 100 degree heat and chocolate do not play well together. After placing in the freezer for a day in order for them to firm up a bit, we consumed an entire bag in short order. One of the best candies that Cadbury makes in my opinion. Wish it was widely available in the the State of Texas.

Unfortunately in my latest purchase the chocolate coating had melted and reset.

So, after watching Mary and Max, and Welcome to Woop Woop... Over and over for years... I had to try these candy bars finally, and compare them to the Cherry Ripe bars of my imagination. Sadly, the chocolate is less dark than I had hoped for, and the cherry coconut stuff is... Not as tangy. I was imagining *way* more citric acid, and generally intense, highly concentrated cherry flavor, but nope. It's like a mounds bar, less dark, with a hint of cherry and 25% more sugar, but that might also just be my loss of taste from covid. Having satisfied my need to try Cherry Ripe, I will scratch it off my bucket list, and move on to even more exotic and decadent indulgences.

I LOVE Cherry Ripes and there is nothing that compares in the US. I've tried time and time again to reverse engineer these and I just cannot make the magic happen. The value for this two pack is undeniable, I have ordered multiples at once not once but twice and will again!
