Scoop N' Hide Cat Litter Scoop with Discreet Litter Scoop Holder, Brushed Nickel

My favorite scoop - I've purchased it many times over the years. The stand is the great; with one hand I can retrieve the scoop and replace the scoop in its holder. It is convenient and tidy; any residual litter stays contained. It is easy to clean. Some reviews claim it is not sturdy, but for a plastic scoop, it does fine. Over time, it does break down and eventually the handle breaks. I have multiple cats and a scoop lasts me a few years before needing to be replaced. If you need a scoop that will withstand chipping away at concrete or lifting bowling balls, get a metal shovel. But if you need a reliable, tidy litter scoop, this one works. I only wish there were more colors available.

Unlike other reviewers that state the scooper itself is flimsy, I think it’s just fine. No less quality than other scoopers that have come with cat litter boxes I’ve used, or ones that I’ve purchased separately. I don’t care that the edge isn’t straight across, but then again, I use crystal cat litter (doesn’t clump like traditional litter) so maybe that’s why I don’t really care. The container to house the scooper when not in use seems to be good enough quality, & because there is a little shelf that the scooper actually sits on, all one has to do is set it in correctly & use the scooper’s handle to close the container by pushing it forward into the compartment that hides it. My picture shows the scooper sitting in it while open, as well as the container open while empty, so hopefully looking at it will help my poor description of how it closes make more sense. I love being able to just set the scooper in it & not worry about putting it into a plastic bag. That was my reason for purchasing this set, & the price was the same amount (or less) for just a plastic scooper by itself. Can’t beat that! I can’t speak on how easy it is to clean the scooper because of how crystal cat litter doesn’t clump together & stick to it like regular cat litter would. That being said, I don’t imagine it will be any harder to clean than any other plastic scooper since it seems to be the same type of plastic. I haven’t been using it all that long so I’m not aware of how durable the scooper & housing compartment will ultimately be, but I don’t imagine it will fall apart any time soon. Considering how plastic scoopers aren’t meant to be used forever, I won’t complain as long as I get several months of use out of it. The scooper also seems to be similar in size to most that can be purchased by themselves so I think one could find another scooper to replace it if necessary. Others say they were unable to do so, but I’m sure there is a non-expensive plastic scooper somewhere online or in a store that could fit in the container. I have a feeling that a metal one might weigh too much & topple the housing compartment over when open so I wouldn’t suggest replacing the included scooper with a metal one. I definitely recommend this product, especially since there is a variety of plastic colors to choose from. I’ll be sure to update my review if something annoying happens, but as for now, it’s been working perfectly well for me.

I really like having a place to store the shovel vs. having it just sit out--gross. The scoop is a wee-bit flimsy but works and I did have another firm scoop that I can use in it if needed. I liked it enough to buy 2 for each location.

I really liked this scoop design. It is nice to hide the scoop and it fits perfectly in the corner behind the door. It is the perfect size. It feels a lot sturdier and scoops better than some if the cheaper ones. However when scooping deep and picking up heavy litter it did bend at the base a little.But it still works great! Makes cleaning the litter box easy. I would definitely purchase this again.

Excellent quality and just the right size scoop tines for my cats preferred litter.

I was looking for a standing at box scooper like this. The idea is great but the scoop itself should be a little thicker to make it more sturdy. I didn't use the scoop long before the handle started to bend. Soon after that I threw out the scoop and kept the standing part. It fit my other scooper just fine. I have multiple cats maybe it would hold up better if it was a one cat household.

Keeps the scoop from getting dirty.

This is actually the second one I bought - which speaks of the simple efficiency of the scoop. I love the “auto-hide” feature so I can keep it close to the box but without having to see the scoop itself.
