Jack and the Beanstalk (First Stories)

Just a picture book, wouldn't call it a first "story"
My girls, 1 and 3 years, love the pull outs, but I think it needs at least one extra page to make the story coherent, which is a shame. Jack doesnt really meet the giant, has a harp and is rescued by the giant's wife seemingly out of nowhere. If you know the story then it's fine, but my little ones did not so it seemed a bit random. If you want interactive pictures then this is nice. If you want a story that makes sense then I'd advise you look elsewhere. If possible I'd give this 2.5 out of 5 as it only delivers half of what I had hoped for. The others in the range that we have read have delivered the story better.

very easy to move and very interesting as well - he ...
My 14 months old loves all books from this series - flaps are strong enough, very easy to move and very interesting as well - he checks this book every day. On every opening there are a sentence which describes whats happening in the picture, and thats perfectly enough for us :) Iam happy that i bought this book.

Top quality baby books
Love these books. They are really lovely with lots of things for my little boy to look at and point out. The moving parts are great and really catch his attention. Top quality baby books!

Interactive with a good intro to the story
The story is not too long so baby's attention remains. The pull and push slide feature makes these books very interactive. My 11 month old recalls the features on each page and attempts to slide the pic to and fro with his hands. Not as eye catching as the jungle book but still a good purchase.

Good book but with issues
In many ways liked this book. A traditional story with good bright pictures with thick pages for little fingers to turn. Liked the different slides (side to side and up and down) great fine motor skills for little fingers. But found they easily tore and came apart. The book only lasted a few weeks.
