Great quality.

First of all, despite my disappointment, there is nothing physically wrong with the two stencil kits I ordered/received; I am simply very perturbed this is a Klutz "look-alike" kit to the Klutz stencil kit I wanted to buy! Please let me explain: my eleven y-o daughter showed me a Klutz stencil kit that she wanted for Christmas, which looked EXACTLY (as I far as I could tell?) like this one at Michael's for $21.99. It had the same flowery border, 72 stencils, rainbow stamp pad, came with book, etc. BUT this kit is NOT THE SAME ONE!! That one had a book of really beautiful, blank pages with lots of backgrounds on which to inspire kids to create stenciled pictures. The booklet that comes with this kit has relatively little space for creativity and is largely an instructional resource. It does have some areas, but not nearly like the other kit had. I rationalized to myself incorrectly that surely Klutz wouldn't make two kits called the same thing with the same picture on the front, for the same suggested retail value (~$20), but apparently they do!! Buyers beware of which one you are trying to order.

My daughter just turned 3.She also has a little sister who takes an extra nap and a longer afternoon nap.During this time, my older one and I do our "special" projects together. An activity we can only do when baby sister is napping.This is one of our best, engaging activities.I set her up at the kitchen table and she can do this unsupervised for about 15-20mins if I need to get stuff done in the kitchen. We do it together and it's also fun for me to get involved in the creativity.CONS: I wish the stencil sponges were a bit more sturdy. Kids tend to not "dab" lightly. So I will need to buy more stencil sponge sticks in the near future.

Absolutely love this kit for kids or adults, anyone just getting into stenciling. Comes with explicit instructions and techniques on stenciling as well as several high quality stencil sheets (plastic) with several designs on each one, and it also comes with a long stamp pad and 6 small little plastic sponge daubers that work great with this little kit. AI am considering ordering several more of these as gifts and maybe even another one for myself. I do wish they had other varieties of stencils that came with it, or could be ordered separately. This is really a great product.

We have purchased a couple Klutz products and have been pleased with them each time. We had purchased the fingerprint art for our 11 year old and she liked it so much we decided to try this kit out. I told her that she could enjoy doing this as long as she promised not to grow up to stencil her whole house ;) lol The pictures she's made so far are so colorful and fun! She can make them in the book, on plain paper or even use the stencils in her special sketch book. So many options! Unlike the fingerprint kit, the ink in the stencil kit does stain a bit more and doesn't wash off as easily. So many possibilities with this kit and hours of fun! I recommend it for any kiddos that loves colorful art!

This is a wonderful Klutz kit - I enjoy decorating cards and envelopes, and this kit taught me that using stamp pad ink and stencils and "sponge brushes" is an art form. The art comes out looking beautiful - even if the "artist" has minimal talent. I have since bought more stamp pads and foam brushes and a variety of inexpensive stencils to continue doing this kind of craft.The reason I only gave this kit only 4 stars is that there is so little ink in the kit's stamp pad set. An enthusiastic stenciler is probably going to run out fairly quickly and need to buy a replacement. I would consider giving additional ink with the kit if I were giving it as a gift.I highly recommend this kit for ages 11 and up (below that age, I think it could be frustrating for some children and enjoyable for others)
