Batman, Volume 1: I Am Gotham (Rebirth)

La historia y el humor de Tom King, sumados al increíble trabajo gráfico de Finch, entregan a un Batman más frío, oscuro, y físicamente más fuerte, muy consciente de su mortalidad. El cómic llegó en general en muy buenas condiciones y a tiempo; solo una página tiene mordida una esquina.

Beautiful art and a wonderful story by a master wordsmith. Without spoiling things, Batman gets aid in protecting Gotham thanks to new superman-like protectors he inspired.But. When an obscure foe of batman’s rogue gallery comes out of the shadows and toys with emotions, stuff goes south really fast. You’ll be hooked if you read this, and you’ll be able to suffer through the terrible mess that is Vol.2 “I am suicide”You can check out my review on that if you wish. This is the superior volume.

A really good start from Tom King and David Finch considering they are taking over from one of the best batman runs of all time done by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Rebirth as a whole has been really enjoyable and Batman I am gotham continues that trend. The story and art are both great. Accessible to new reader's but also incorporates plenty of references to new 52 batman run for long time readers. I was skeptical of the new characters (gotham and gotham girl) but by the time I finished the story I really enjoyed them, especially gotham girl who has a very touching moment with batman. Also hints at things to come for volume 2 and beyond which I'm extremely excited for! New or old reader, if you like Batman you have to pick this up!

Le changement de l'équipe Snyder/Capullo est rafraîchissant ! Les dessins correspondent vraiment à Batman et quant à l'histoire, elle est sympatique mais on ne sait pas vraiment ou ca va nous conduire par la suite ! Mais c'est ce qui donne envie de continuer la serie, la suite et le retour d'un personnage que l'on avait pas vu depuis un moment dans du Batman ! A lire donc, pour se faire un avis
