My broken Porsche branded smart charger came with an attached cig plug, but this plug is better as it comes with indicator lights.

This product provides an extremely simple but accurate way to monitor charge status of a car battery on a rarely used vehicle without even having to "pop the bonnet" to connect a multi meter. If the battery does need charging, it so very simple to use the "comfort connect" connection from a C Tek charger to connect directly to the device leaving the C Tek charge status lights visible through a window on a seat inside a locked vehicle - genius! There have, sadly, been some negative and ignorant reviews of this product which may needlessly discourage purchase of an otherwise excellent product. Firstly, the need to connect to a permanently live cigarette lighter socket should be obvious - it's not a surprise! Fortunately, the 2 x Skodas within my extended family both have such permanently live sockets and find that this device is so simple to use. Check before buying.! But - even if your car does not have a permanently live socket on dash or centre console - don't give up - check to see if there is a permanently live socket in the boot. Secondly, there are some negative reviews criticizing the voltage value of the Amber/Green threshold. Without wanting to start an online spat, I regard the 12.65V threshold as wholly appropriate for a "fully charged" vs "charge soon" boundary. If your car battery is not above 12.65V it is at least 20-30% discharged and some electric wizardry from a C Tek charger would be beneficial to extend battery life even if not immediately essential to starting the engine. Only downside, £15 is not cheap for what it is, but it could save you hundreds of pounds. Quality has a price.

Sehr gute Sache. Ist bequem zu benutzen nur einmal in die Cig. Steckdose eingesteckt und die Ampel- LED Anzeige leuchtet entsprechend dem Ladezustand. Zudem kann man ganz bequem direkt da das Ladegerät anschließen und die Batterie laden ohne an der Batterie mit den Klemmen fummeln zu müssen. Klasse. Sehr empfehlenswert! Ich bin zufrieden.
