It's a great amp for price hits good. It didn't have bass knob or a spot for one. but all in all worth the money.

Solid, flexible amp, good for tight installs in smaller cars
I purchased this to drive an Image Dynamics IDQ10 4 ohm 10" dual voice coil subwoofer in my 2013 MINI Cooper S convertible. I was looking for an amp with small dimensions but enough muscle to properly handle that speaker. The package from Sonic Electronics arrived in good condition and the amplifier includes detailed installation instructions, particularly an extensive set of nice, clear speaker wiring diagrams covering just about every possible configuration you can employ this amp in.Again, I was dealing with an install in a vehicle with virtually no auxiliary space, so I appreciated the fact the dimensions of the PZX750.2 were just small enough to allow me to squeeze it into the only available real estate in the MINI, a built in factory well that is under the passenger seat. There it is wired in two channel mode; helpfully the amp has a stereo/mono switch which allows users like me employing it to drive subwoofers to collapse the two input channels into a single mono one (without impacting stereo channel separation in the rest of the system). That allows me to have the amp dedicating a separate 4 ohm channel for each voice coil but with the signal in both being identical, which is important to avoid distortion. As far as wattage output, one encounters the typical "what is the real figure?" situation here. The Crunch website states this amp is rated for 165 watts per channel at 4 ohms, but notably doesn't indicate whether that is a peak or RMS rating. The seller's (Sonic electronics) implies that figure is peak, because it lists the 4 ohm RMS watt rating as 80 per channel.. My wet finger guesstimate is the figure is in that range based on 14 volts going into it and the 30A fuse size. If that's accurate, the PX750.2 putting around 160 RMS total into the sub, which is right where I want things (sub is rated for 150 and it's better to be above that level than below it).As in any subwoofer installation, I spent a good amount of time tweaking the low pass crossover point and adding a small amount of bass boost (called "Bass EQ" on this amp). The PZX750.2 includes both high and low pass crossovers, with a decent amount of adjustment range, particularly for the high pass one. As the attached picture of the audio input and sound adjustment side of the amp shows, it also has a set of pass through RCA outputs (useful if you are daisy-chaining amplifiers) and a speaker level input. The latter employs an included proprietary connector, which employs what are IMHO questionably thin wires to connect to the speaker level feeds. Once up and running, I found the PZX750.2 could definitely drive my subwoofer - a model designed more for sound quality than high SPL -- to put out very solid low bass. Based on the Image Dynamics specifications for the IDQ10 and .73 net cubic foot internal displacement of my sealed cabinet, this speaker/amp combo is capable of getting down to around 20hz.The only real weakness I see in the PZX750.2 is that it employs screw terminals for speaker and power connections, instead of the cast hex nut terminals one finds on more expensive amps, which can clamp firmly onto bare wire. I consequently had to find ring connectors (which are more secure than the spade lugs the Crunch owners manual recommends) that were large enough to accommodate 8 gauge power and 12 gauge speaker cables, while being narrow enough to fit in the comparatively small individual "bays" each terminal screw is set in on the PZX750.2. I fortunately found ones that met both those criteria at a local Autozone. For reference for any other purchasers of this amp, those ring connectors are Autocraft Part # 85414. If you use these, don't skimp on the crimping tool you'll need to properly attach them to your cables; invest in or borrow a nice heavy duty one, such as the Central-Forge model #97420.
