This item does not cover the window at all. This product attaches in the cargo area and at the rear of the hatch. It does cover the entire cargo compartment and offers a flap that covers the front area. It does blow around a little when the top is off, but is good enough to keep stuff from blowing out of the car, I.e., papers and stuff.
