I purchased these plates as an alternative to the more expensive LEGO brand. As you can see in the picture, the green with this set (bottom) is darker than the current green (top) being sold by LEGO. The original LEGO green (middle), which was sold several years ago, is a shade lighter.The grey color plate in this set is a match to the current LEGO grey.The plate thickness with these plates appears to be the same as the LEGO brand, and I haven't noticed any issues with LEGO bricks not working or not sticking with the plates. They have a little tighter fit, but otherwise seem to work fine. It's also worth noting that these plates have a little bit of a shine to them; more so than the LEGO brand plates.I honestly purchased these plates because of the blue plates. These are super mice colors and very sturdy! Fit perfectly with our name brand blocks!!! Also works with the toddler version of the brand name blocks! Love these and the price was fantastic! We put two sets of 6 on the wall and now our boys have a fun building space and the table isn't cluttered!

Product is exactly as described. Works great with Lego parts! I love Lego products but I feel their baseplates are way too expensive for what you're getting, not to mention the limited colors. These baseplates are exactly what I wanted and will be using from now on. They are affordable, shipped nicely and on time, and look wonderful! Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed!

I purchased Lego City building sets for my five year old son for Christmas. I thought these base plates would be a good option to display the sets. I also thought the value was good considering the number of plates you get. The items arrived on time and in good condition. While the plates worked well for holding the individual Lego figurines (Lego people), I was unable to get the larger pieces to fit properly. They would not snap in or line up correctly for some reason. Even when I was able to snap them down, they kept popping back up. We have the Lego Seasons House, Airport and Fireboat kits and none of the larger pieces fit from any of the sets. Although they didn't fit properly, my son still wanted to keep them.

I bought these to put down on some shelves so the kid can have a place to display his Lego creations. They fit name brand Lego's perfectly, and are way better priced, which is great because I will probably have to buy more. Six plates for under $20 is a steal, and they work perfectly.As others have mentioned the name brand flat plate pieces won't fit on these base plates, but all other pieces will so it doesn't bother us.

These are worth the money they look great . I purchased a small table from salvation army for 3.50 and repainted it a bright gloss yellow and the colors look great with it. My boyfriend cut the gray middle pieces to fit the table and we painted one small square yellow. I just used the gloss enamel for the one square and it really set the table off.

We bought these to build a Lego table for our son, since this pack seemed like a good value for the price. Both the description and many reviewers state that these are compatible with Legos, but that isn't entirely true. Duplos seem to fit on these base plates as well as basic brick Legos in square or rectangular shapes. However, any other flat Lego base plates or pieces, no matter what the size, do not fit onto these base plates! These types of pieces do not stay on at all which has been a big source of frustration for our son when playing with sets he has built. These base plates may work for those who are only interested in building their own small creations out of the basic Lego brick shapes, but for those who want to build specific model sets (many of which are built on smaller flat platforms) or more complicated structures to attach to these larger square base plates, these won't work. I guess you get what you pay for.

Works perfectly with Lego brand blocks and other plates. It is smooth on the back so it is not stackable. BUT we purchased for a Lego table we were making so they were perfect. Used command strips on the back to hold into place on the table and still be removeable later if needed. They haven't budged! My son loves them. Accurate colors and sizes and well packaged so no damage to them at all. Will definitely order again!
