What do you plan to use this for? Be careful.
If you want to test the spark on an Echo chainsaw, blower or trimmer this tester is not for you. These Echo products generate a weak spark but the Echo sparkplug gap is only .025" so the engines run fine. But the tester you see here is really designed for automotive or trucking engines where the spark is much more powerful. You will not see this detector light up with a small engine ignition coil. You need something like a modified spark plug for this engine that you can see the spark with in a darkened room. Echo also sells a close gap tester that works with their engines. I now have a few testers that I seldom use.

Disappointing
I purchased these to test spark plugs for continuity without having to remove the plug. Simply put, it doesn't work for that. What it does do is indicate the there was an electrical pulse sent down the plug wire, nothing more. I tested one plug that was not working on a motorcycle and two that were not working on another bike. It showed all three as working yet when the plugs were pulled and shorted to the engines the were not. All three were cleaned or replaced and the problem was solved. ANother thing is if you have the plugs where you remove the threaded end when installed this will not work without holding it in place. I am going to make adapters but again, disappointing. I would not but again.

NO ES TAN UTIL COMO PENSE
Inutil cuando tu problema es intermitente y tu carro falla cuando quiere. Es util cuando el problema es muy obvio como que algun cable o bujia no funcionan para nada y de esta manera puedes saber cual es el problema pero incluso las bujias las puedes revisar escuchando nada mas con el motor encendido los tronidos por lo que no le ayude mucha utilidad.Mi carro tenia problema de ignicion y no sabia exactamente si eran los cables de bujias, las bujias o simplemente el inyector. Pense que este cable me ayudaria pero la "luz/chispa" de este aparato prendia normal incluso cuando lo aceleraba porque en general mi carro le funcionaban todas las partes pero "a medias" entonces este probador no ayudo de nada.Como dije solo es de utilidad cuando alguna de las partes de plano no sirve para nada pero esto ya es bastante obvio en tu carro. Terminé limpiando inyectores, cambiando todos los cables por nuevos y haciendole servicio al carro reemplazaron todas las bujias y el problema se solucionó.El problema terminó siendo principalmente los cables de bujias que funcionaban intermitentemente al manejar solamente lo cual este probador no puede diagnosticar.
