Great for sourdough starter-easy stir
I love the shape, which makes it easy for stirring my sourdough starter. And it is a nice looking jar as well. Very happy with it.

Great for Sourdough Starter
Very high quality jar. Perfect for Sourdough Starters. Lids are great. Mine came with a wooden lid as well as a glass lid with a rubber seal and metal clips to secure the top.

Best Sourdough Jar
I love the shape and size and it is so easy for doing the sourdough starter. The lids are great with the clips, with options of the cork top.

Exactly what I needed to house my sourdough
I hesitated spending this much for one jar for a long time. I transferred my starter to so many different size mason jars for years, but they were either too big, or too small. Like the tale of Goldilocks, this is just right! Came on time, well packaged, and in excellent shape! My starter is in its new home, and I’m very happy!

Better than a mason jar
This jar was an impulse for sourdough, and it is worth it. SO much easier to feed -- the shape of the jar makes it much cleaner. The bummer is the extra glass lid -- I can't use it with the sourdough, and I don't want to throw it out... so weird clutter in my drawer. But the jar is so worth it!

Lovely and functional
I bought this to make levain for sour dough bread, and it’s the perfect size for that. Plus it’s very cute on my counter. Comes with a glass lid and a wooden lid. The rubber gasket ( seal) and clips are also great if you are transporting something or just want an airtight seal.

Sour dough starter weck jar
I used the weck jar for sour dough starter. However, I can see many uses for this jar such as canning or even to bring a salad for lunch . The jar is wide enough a large spatula can be used to mix the starter when feeding. It’s tall enough that I don’t have to worry about overflowing. Very good versatile product .

Best jars for sourdough starters
I love how wide they are at the top and they are the perfect size and they clean up great. I also love the two separate lids that come with the jar. Great for transporting food items in them .

Buy 2 as you always need a clean jar to transfer sourdough starter to another clean jar...
I make Sourdough starter and these jars are phenomenal... highly recommend!

Ridges at the top
Looks nice but the ridges at the top create more work when feeding mother sour dough. A ridgeless top edge is much easier to work with.
