Why would gold matter for an optical cable? I think I'll buy another brand.

Gold doesn’t matter for optical cable.. however.. with the ‘Rona delaying all of my purchases.. I picked this cable because it had the fastest ship time.. literally that is it. Could have been plastic and I still would have picked it for the shipping time.

Is this glass or plastic?

The MFG sent me an email stating the core is made of plastic not glass. Glass can take high temps an extreme distance, higher data, but plastic has more durability. For home use such as lengths used for toslink there's no better benefit buying a glass core.

Does this optical cable work for gaming?? I'm trying to use it for my ps4 & connect it to my headset. The one that came with my headset looks cheap.
