Great for the car
I have purchased this several times for grandkids. I appreciate the idea that it provides a writing activity without the potential mess of things left in the car or writing on things. It does seem that I need to buy two at a time, one for the little one to take home and one for my house! Highly recommended!

Definitiv keine Kaufempfehlung!

Pretty good
I bought this for my 3 year old. We've been using Magna Doodles for years, and this seemed like it would be a good modern replacement. Compared to a Magna Doodle, this has a much higher resolution: lines are very smooth, and can be much finer. That said, there are a lot of things that could have been done better with this variant of the product:- There are 4 styluses with different size tips, but they don't draw the way you would expect. For example, the widest tip still only makes narrow lines because the whole tip isn't smooth enough to touch all at once.- The styluses each have comb patterns on the sides that seem like you should be able to make parallel lines, but again, they don't all touch the screen, so you can't make the pattern you were hoping for- I had foolishly thought I would be able to draw in multiple colours, based on the product image; this is my fault for not reading more about the product.- The rainbow background makes it hard to read text on parts of the screen. The blue background is very dark, making for poor contrast between the blue and black.- There's an iPhone app that allows you to digitize drawings, but it is terrible. It takes smooth lines and makes them very grainy, and inverts all the coloursOne other limitation Boogie Boards have compared to the Magna Doodle is you cannot clear parts of the screen.Despite the limitations, I still think this is a neat product, and my daughter loves it. If I was buying one again, though, I would get one of the Jot models that have a single stylus and the same background colour everywhere.

Great Love It
Great little tool for kids. My daughter and I use it to learn math and reading. When reading books, troublesome words can be written big and pronounced letter by letter. It’s an added little element for reading time. It engages her and myself who is often sleeping during good night reading time. We play cards using flash cards and a playing deck. The math problem comes up, and the fastest person to say and play the card answer wins the lot of cards in play and other players card of the right answer. She uses the board to refer to the numbers 1-10 and she can count positions to find the answer. She’s four, and Daddy likes this as a teaching tool. Then, well . . . She draws with it. That’s great, because it keeps her busy and quiet. It’s a tablet, but a simple drawing kind that engages the imagination and hand drawing, and writing skills. Each stylus has numerous textures that are also engaging and creative. The only think I find is the multicolour screen. It makes it a bit hard to see, especially in low light.

kids love this...
They say it reminds them of the notebooks we used to buy them... 10 black pages they can scratch off... making a mess, but leaving a colorful rainbow image. entire book wasted in under a week with random doodles. Now they can draw over and over and over again.only down side is it's really dark and hard to see in any low light. reset button is pretty cool... wipes it clear instantly. pencil tips get lost very easily (loose, fall off).
