Excellent, solidly constructed mount with a very positive flip to the side action. Basically, you grip the side of the optic and firmly pull it back towards yourself to overcome the spring tension holding it in place. This takes a little getting used to, but once you get the feel for it it's simple. Some people will not like the fact it has no easy on/off lever. Personally, I feel that quick removal of the magnifier is unnecessary and defeats the purpose of the flip to the side feature. Furthermore, and I'm only speculating here, I think the ability to tighten down the nut probably aids in keeping the magnifier centered consistently when flipping it back and forth. Save butt tons of money and get this over anything from EGO-TECH, IMHO.

Great, but requires a break in.
I used to have a Larue magnifier mount a few years ago and it was definitely higher quality and better engineered than this, but it would sometimes get stuck in it's position if you didn't pull it at the correct angle. This mount is simple and the design is good. It locks in both positions and seems to be really strong. There isn't a magical angle you have to pull it back at unlike the Larue mount. This mount is almost perfect when broken in, but the quality requires a "break in".When you first get this it will be really stiff. You will have to break it in by moving it in and out of position about 50 times as there is too much metal in the transitional position. When you do this the finish and some of the metal underneath will scrape off. It would be better if the factory just fixed the thickness of this metal to avoid these issues. I just put some grease on the bare metal and it works fine.

I bought this to go along with a Primary Arms 3x Gen III Red Dot Magnifier. The two work together very well, fitment and mounting is great. I bought the mount and the magnifier to work with a Primary Arms Micro Red Dot sight. I have not had a chance to take it to the range yet, but so far I am very happy with it. If you are going to buy the same setup, you will also need a riser for the Red Dot Sight. I overlooked this on my original purchase. I was not sure what size to get, but after a quick call to Primary Arms, I knew I needed a Primary Arms Lower 1/3 Cowitness Micro Dot Riser, which I promptly ordered. I will try to update after it has seen more use.

Weak design.
The mount in general is strong but the weak link is the two small cap screws that are used to fix the scope ring to the hinge pin. On mine there was no way to get these screws tight enough to eliminate the wiggle after a few operations. The system also looks as if it should simply index by friction...which it does...but is so stiff out of the box that it will shear the two weak cap screws if the tension spring is not manually compressed first. This fact brings the whole unit into question in the field where durability will be poor. It is a poor design due to the inherent weakness of the two small cap screws.

Excellent mount
Well made flip sight . Works perfectly with vortex strike fire red dot. Mounted on Saint a r. Kinda stiff to flip at first but is very solid when in position. Very happy!

GREAT magnifier mount!
8/12/17 - GREAT magnifier mount! No issues after flipping it back and forth about 40 - 50 times today at the range. Held securely with no wiggle or anything. FANTASTIC product!

Screw kept backing out
Works reasonably well. However, the screw keeps backing out as the gun is fired and I had to keep tightening it at the range.

Good product
Worked as expected only complaint is that the spring is pretty stuff and tough so can be a paid to adjust the angle at times
