Great budget speakers for the price!
I ordered these to install in my beater 1990 Bronco II. I didn't want to spend a lot, as the only real reason I was putting in a system was my town's new hands-free cell phone law. I needed something cheap so I could use my phone's bluetooth. These replaced the crappy factory Ford speakers in the doors and back seat. Sound is decent. In the front I have the Chaos Exxtreme CH5530, and in the back the CH5720. They're mated to an inexpensive Boss Audio head unit (625UAB). Installation is straight-forward, just like with any replacement speakers. The included speaker wire is ridiculously thin. Luckily I didn't have to use it, I just cut the factory plug off and soldered the speakers in. Great clarity with zero static or interference from an inadequate wire. I will say that if I were having to run new wire I would buy a heavier gauge rather than use what came with the speakers (I'd guess it's 22 ga., but could be thinner!). That would result in losing a star for me due to the added cost. But as I said before, since I was able to solder the factory wiring it wasn't an issue. While you can't push a lot of bass through them at high volumes without some distortion, you can get plenty of thump for an older guy while retaining the sound clarity. I didn't expect these to be competition grade speakers at this price point. And they're not. But rather than being disappointed by stupidly cheap speakers at a cheap price, I was surprised and pleased by economy speakers at a stupidly cheap price. For 15 bucks for the 5530s and 16.50 for the 5720s, these speakers are a screaming bargain. Would I put them in my Vette? No. But they're perfect for my every-day beater. The perfect low-end solution when you don't want to spend a lot because your ride's a hoopty! lol

Not a bad deal for the price
These are some pretty good speakers, not top of the line but for the price they sound pretty good, although there's no adjustable crossover the tweeters are kinda overpowering and you'll have to turn down you highs on your radio. Iv'e been running them on an Alpine 400 watt 4ch. amp and they sound pretty good for the price, easy to install in my cruze, had to add some extra gasket material to get them to fit right but they really don't sound too bad,not a bad deal for the price, but only had them for about 1 week, will update after they get broke in. Update!!!!! Cooked the tweeters after 9 days had to replace them with some pioneers, the crossovers should have protected them. I might take the x overs out and take them appart to see if they have a coil in them, will add a photo of the inside when I do.

Great budget speakers
I used two sets of these in 6.5" round to replace the blown out JBL speakers in a 2003 toyota avalon xle. These not only sound better than the JBL's did when they were new, but are about 900 dollars less than the dealership wants to replace the JBL speakers. If you have a drill and some basic wiring knowledge (very basic), as well as some experience pulling the door panel off of your car, you can easily replace your old speakers with these. The front speakers in the avalon come in a plastic housing that angles them downwards for some reason, and once you remove the old speaker from the plastic housing, this easily fits in and replaces it with almost no trouble at all (just drill holes to match the housing). They also work very well to replace the back door speakers in the avalon, which are something like 3.5 inches. I just removed the rear door speakers and the housing and threw it away, then just drilled out the correct hole pattern in the door of the car in the same slot, and screwed these in. They work so much better than the JBL's that I'm thoroughly happy. 32 dollars to replace 4 blown out speakers is a great deal. Also, even though the factory JBL's are 2 ohm and these are 4 ohm, they work without a hiccup. I'd definitely reccomend them, and I'd buy them again.

I like them so far
I like them so far, they have added a new dimension to my front speakers, They are clear and have a decent bottom to them, should have bought them or the rears, whole nother story there, I went a whole different direction on those, well I have no complaints at all about the quality of sound they produce for the price, I am quite sure you can get better, but as this is my first foray into using new speakers with a factory head unit ....they are veddy veddy good, not great but that could be because the head unit is factory and the sound was only good with the old speakers so my expectations were not that high from the start, didn't want to lose any of the features the factory unit provides, so I was just looking for a bit of improvement, which I definitely got with these. I do and would recommend them to others

Great speakers for a great price
I have owned several sets of these speakers, and whenever i do an install on mine or anyone else's vehicle, i always recommend these. They are a great price and they sound fantastic as well, a large improvement over stock. Well, actually, anything is better than speakers with the thickness and consistency of a sheet of paper, but you get what I'm saying. They aren't Bose or anything, but for $30 it's by far a great value for most folks. I'm a musician and am fairly critical about music quality (but not critical enough to spend $200 on a pair of speakers lol) and I think these are quite above par. Add a small amplifier (I usually use a small 100 watt x 4, also Boss Audio) and a small subwoofer to the mix and you got the recipe for some great sounding tunes. By adding a small amp, even if you don't listen to it loud, you are going to get more clarity and better bass response even at lower levels.
