Easy to fit and works perfectly!
CDA wine cooler had stopped being cold. All lights inside were on. There’s a video on YouTube on how to install. Fixed, running perfectly!

Doing the job (for now)
Well, the Starter 'Relay' is now plugged onto the compressor and the freezer is working again. The question is, why did the previous one fail in a 15 month old freezer? You only have to look at these starters to see that they are designed to fail. A 15mm disc of semiconductor material sandwiched between small sprung clips, having to initially carry a fairly high current (8 amps in my case) until it heats up (hot). This happens every time the freezer compressor starts. No wonder it cracked and burnt out. They aren't really robust enough for this sort of treatment.I only just realized that the Overload Protection device is rated at 1/2HP 375w. My freezer only draws 90W when running, so only 1/6 HP apparently.

Don't buy
One on the left genuine part. On the right is the one I ordered here. It worked at first and as of today failed and was close to catching fire. I think its a counter fit item as the weight between the two is noticeableIn all not a good item or quality.. Dangerous

Wine cooler fixed
Wine cooler fixed, cold again. Watched YouTube video showing how to replace. Easy to fit and now I have cold wine again. Not bad for less than a tenner instead of replacing it!
