This is the absolute best 4wire trailer wiring terminal i have ever seen. I will use it any time I need one in the future.

I installed the hitch and wiring on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler, and didn’t like the 4 pin plug just hanging near the hitch on the little rubber plug holder. This connector is exactly what I was looking for. I just cut the wires on my 4 pin plug, stripped the wires and soldered them to the same color wires on this connector. Probably not necessary, I could’ve just used heat shrink tubing I guess. The connector has a metal holder with screws that attaches to the bumper easily, and the connector just slides into that and locks in place. Makes a very nice finished look for your hitch and trailer wire connector.

This product is of obvious high quality. BUT, I can only give this 3 stars. The installation instructions ONLY tell you how to mount the hardware. There is no explanation for the wiring at all. I went to erich-jaeger-usa.com to look for detailed instructions/diagrams. This is a huge company but their search feature is poor. I tried every nomenclature I could think of including that listed on the package. Not found. I tried every number. Not found. The company seems to have the attitude that their customers have all installed connectors before. Website probably designed by engineers.

After trying 3 different kinds of bracket, this is the right one. double of the price of the other one such as Reese, but it mounts better, looks better, the hook up is so much so much easier, no more yanking(it comes with greased connectors) I put 3 extra screws to mount the bracket, hope it will last much longer.
