I usually re-rope my cat's scratching posts with sisal (lighter colored rope) but I tried the manila because I liked the darker color. It feels exactly like sisal. Good thickness, I don't like when the rope is too thin because it frays easier and it takes forever to re-rope.The bottom of the cat post in the picture was completely frayed so I removed the old rope and replaced it with this one using a glue gun bought from the dollar store. Took me about 30min to do, used about half the roll so I still have a good deal left to do another. In my opinion it looks way better, the cats are happy with it and it has been durable so far.I would buy this again this for sure. Thanks! ❤️

I absolutely love this sisal. I used it to recover my cat's scratch post and it worked amazingly. I ordered 4 rolls and they were all consistent in color and thickness. I did not notice a smell like the other reviews mention. I would absolutely recommend.

This is an excellent rope, I've used it to refurbish my beat up cat tree posts - the carpet was ripping off the pole.It's very easy to wind around the pole, and secures easily with a couple of flat head nails (I don't have access to a heavy duty stapler, though I bet it'd be better with staples.)My reason for the low score is that it tends to be a bit "messier" than other ropes I've touched. It constantly sheds bits and pieces of the fibers, and I had to do a lot of vacuuming after getting it on the post. Unsure yet if it will continue to be messy now that the "excess" has fallen off, but I suppose we shall see down the road as the cats use it.

I bought 10 of these manila ropes for my cat's scratching posts. There was a very mild natural smell but it went away shortly after. Absolutely no chemicals and they use all natural fibers. Very easy to work with. I used a hot glue gun. My cats love having this rope on their scratching posts and their caticos. They have also expressed to me that I need to make them more cat furniture using this stuff. This product is made in the Philippines.

This cord came as expected and a successful addition to my DIY vertical garden. I would recommend this to anyone who is doing DIY projects requiring 9 mm rope.
