Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium Classroom in a Book (Classroom in a Book (Adobe)) 1st Edition

This product gives great tips and introduces you to the standard workflow for CS6 Production Premium. The project, being a music video promo, combines all the things you'd want to do in video and basic sound editing, colour correction, titling and more...it uses fairly conversational plain English, making it easy to understand, even if you're just starting out or for those more familiar with post-production, has a lot of handy short-cuts, to speed up your processing and navigation.

Starting out learning and as you go with the chapter and DVD it makes sense. plus it in paperback so I can highlight away in it an read wherever!

I've had this software for a while. I like the lesson format and look forward to using this excellent software to it's potential.

Although Adobe software can produce incredible material, you can't exactly say that it's easy to learn to use. This is more of a light overview of all the elements included in Production Premium Pro, rather than a detailed look at any of them. For some people, I'm sure that's exactly what they're looking for. It's a great introduction, designed for you to want to buy other the other Classroom in a Book books by the end. My only problem with this Classroom in a Book is that the video project that the book guides you through is incredibly pretentious. By the end of the first chapter, I wanted to punch Joey in the face, whoever he is.

Within the first few pages of the book you will realize that you must have the 11GB resouce CD which is NOT included in the Kindle download. This book is useless without the CD, which Amazon does not sell with the book. How can you sell the book without the CD!?!? I was very disappointed.

This book is a great place to start, though you should plan on getting the specific after effects, or premier pro books if you really want to advance.

This book provides an cursory overview of the features of CS6 Production Premium. You will need a different book to get comprehensive description of all the functions for each of the programs in this Suite.

I have used this book to help me learn premiere pro, after effects, encore and audition as I am a professional editor.
