Pica A14711770P4043 4043, White

I purchased these for my significant other. He absolutely loves the mechanical pencil and uses it for work as a contractor almost every day. The original purchase of the pencil only came with the graphite color led, and he wished to have white for easier to see markings on dark colored painted metal, wood,etc. Product came as it should and in a protective case to keep the unused led safe from braking. The led marks well as it can being more waxed based rather that graphite based. His only complaint was with his own clumsiness when dropping the pencil and cracking the led which was no longer long enough to keep in place. The product itself works really well and marks easily on materials he has used. I'm unable to get a picture of it, as it's at his job site. He will definitely get more as needed and recommends the product for anyone questioning the value or quality of the product.

Works really well for marking metal work

Bought these so I could see my marks on dark walnut. They did the trick. Worked great and lasted long.

It has 10 leads l, and if youre working, sometimes the tips break and it gets used rather quickly, so you can go through a single lead in 3 days. A couple months and its another $20 for another pack. Dont get me wrong, the product works great. On black tar paper and black sheet metal. Rubs off easily, but still applies easily and easily viewed and readable. The lead is not too hard, which makes it brittle, but marks easily. If the lead was harder, it would probably have a hard time leaving lead in the surface youre trying to mark. Product is not expensive, but shipping makes it a little expensive. Need closer suppliers.

I work with quite a bit of darker wood like Black Walnut, Honduran Rosewood, Purpleheart, etc. Making a pencil line on these woods with standard leads makes it difficult to see the lines when cutting. While I have tried other things, like a quilters mechanical pencil, which was sorely lacking. The lead was constantly breaking. These white lead refills for the Pica-Dry mechanical pencil fit the bill. They are sturdy and do not break off like a thinner lead would. On darker woods it leaves a very good line to see when cutting. Very happy with these.

Great product

Worked great for me on some dark drown paneling, its a bid softer material than the black lead but it works great doesn’t wipe of too easily like a chalk.

Pica is the best pencil for tradesmen!! Love it!! Durability! Value for its money
