It works great. I am using it on 1 AC of grapes for weed control. It is good quality and works well, however you have to pump it a lot. The pressure is in the black cylinder, not in the tank. It still does the job much better that hardware store sprayers.

I have used almost every brand of backpack sprayer and this is by far the best. After Stihl stopped making sprayers, I tried at least 6 different brands and this one topped the charts in my opinion. You have to make sure everything is tightened properly (of course), but it does a great job holding pressure without much pumping. My only complaints are that you can crank the lid too tight and then it's hard to get off (and my hands aren't wide enough), and the markings on the side are hard to see (so use a sharpie and re-mark them before you get started).

When Jacto took over Shindaiwa and started copying their design these backpacks were awesome, I still have three that I have used for years, but these new ones are garbage, I could feel an immediate difference just taking it out of the box. The bottom used to be solid metal and the solid tank was attached to it, it's now plastic and either glued or plastic welded to an open tank, most likely just glued. First time I went to fill the tank it started streaming water from where the bottom is attached to the tank, it's going back and never again will I buy Jacto products.

So far, this has worked wonders for my yard. The weeds are absolutely crazy this year, and this has made spraying so much easier. It’s held up great, is very easy to use, and super user-friendly. I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

I have a 15 year old Hudson sprayer of the same design and I have done nothing but use it. This unit appears to be so similar I have great expectaions. It is slightly narrow so those with a rear bumper the size of mine might find the pump arm a bit friendly but it works flawlessly.
