Works on a Macbook Pro with Windows 11
The macbook was brain dead (no bootcamp or operating system. After a windows only install the audio did not work. This adapter fixed the problem. I bought it several years ago and it's still working.

it's a working external soundcard
5 stars because it does what it's supposed to do. it sounds just as good as my internal sound card. i got this to be able practice DJ transitions on my laptop with an active cue channel that's separate from the main channels and it does it perfectly. it's lightweight, compact and installs itself so there is literally 0 setup other than waiting for your machine to download and install the drivers (which takes all of 10 seconds). if you're looking at this for laptop DJing purposes then it'll do the job.

I don't play music on my computer...I have no idea about the quality of that sound. I just needed something easy to install so that I could listen news reports and various sound bites. Could not have been easier. I just plugged it into a USB port plugged the speaker into Vention USB sound card I was ready to go. The volume and clarity were great, and the price was a bargain.

Works perfectly on Linux
I've now had two motherboard's built-in sound cards die on me, and this is the easy solution. I have plenty of unused USB ports on the back, so giving one up to this sound card is a no-brainer. It works perfectly with Linux! It also works fine in a USB hub as well if you are short on ports. I haven't noticed any sound latency going through a hub, but with video I have hit that problem so if super low latency is important to you, make sure to plug this right into a motherboard USB port.

A Good Solution to replace an internal PC Sound Card
When the sound went out on an older PC, I went searching for a good value (low cost) solution. This USB sound card was just the ticket. Plug and play (literally) with great sound quality. Note - I have not used the microphone jack (no current need for it), but glad it's there if ever needed.
