This item does not work with US electrical outlets. The power cord for the unit is not compatible with regular US outlets. I am attempting to contact Amazon to remediate this issue. *Update* I purchased an adapter separately and the unit does work very well. The manual is in Chinese, and when I reached out to the manufacturer via one of their English-language websites, they confirmed this product is not intended for US distribution.

Most air purifiers on the market don't have a 360 degree air intake design except dysin, but who wants to pay 500$ the look on this purifier is so beautiful and the materials that went into it. The plastics are made from Samsung, which is an industry leader in electronics, the ultra sensitive dust sensor from SHARP, the switch from Honeywell, industry leader in automatic control, the brushless DC motor from nidec, which is a market leader in brushless Motors. wonderful product. have been using one of the older models in our living room and this model in our bedroom for about a year now. my husband and i live in beijing so a purifier is an absolute must; with the pollution i was prone to getting pretty severe lung infections every 3 weeks lasting for about a week at a time. with the purifiers, they have nearly disappeared. i get maybe 2-3 a year now, whereas before i was sick more often than not.we used to be smokers and when smoking indoors the purifiers would kick up and get louder so you knew they were working as hard as possible to decontaminate the air as quickly as possible. i cannot live without one of these in my bedroom at night, without it im incapable of waking up in the morning with a clear nose and head. i was dubious since xiaomi products are so inexpensive but we have many home goods from xiaomi and i am truly beyond satisfied with the vast majority of all of them. these purifiers are the real deal and i recommend them to anyone moving to one of the bigger cities in china - they are relatively inexpensive, but very very effective. and the replacement filters are only about $20, needing to be replaced once every 3-6 months. we replace ours every 4 and that has served us well.

Clever and well integrated device plus app for the Mi Home family. Very quick reaction to cooking outputs. Top score 590 so far, rapidly reduced. Fan speed slight, but a good guide to e state of the air.
