If you are like me, you own a Ford key fob and you have dropped your key and broken the keychain tab off the bottom of the fob. I have done that at least 5 times. (The design of the Ford key fob is terrible because of this). So you now have to buy a new one from Ford, for over $100, or you have to buy the cheap ones off Amazon but you end up breaking those also.I finally broke down and bought this fob cover because I couldn't spend $12 or so dollars on just a piece of plastic, and that is all this thing is. However, no more broken fobs! This cover works perfectly for that, even if you drop the fob and it breaks the fob cover keeps everything together so the fob doesn't get separated from your keys. 500 stars just for that. I have dropped my keys several times with the fob cover and it still works like a charm.When you get the fob cover it is a chore to get it on because it fits so snug.So, the best solution is to buy the fob replacements on Amazon for about $10 each, get the fob cover, and you are good until the batteries start dying. Don't get the new fob from Ford unless that is really important to you. If you still have the original Ford fob and it hasn't broken yet, quickly get this thing before your fob breaks. Still, the fob replacements are useless without this fob cover. Without it you are just going to quickly break your fob by dropping it, this cover prevents that.

When I bought this, it was a last resort because I broke the key holding part off of my key. I was afraid that this cover would be flimsy and cheaply made, but I am very thrilled with it. The key fits nice and snug with no slipping or loosening. I was also afraid that where the butt end of the cover is - the part that connects to the keyring - it would be weak and not too solid due to that particular part of the key being broken off, but it holds well and you wouldn't even know that you were missing anything on your key. I love it! No signal loss either. Worth every penny.

This key fob cover for my Ford Explorer fit over my broken remote key fob perfectly. This is a simple fix to an all too common situation. My key fell apart not long after purchasing my vehicle. After numerous failed repair attempts, the pieces went a drawer and we now used the second/spare key. It was a bit stressful to utilize the spare key, but the alternative was to lay out nearly $300 for a replacement. I wanted to keep a backup key on hand and Amazon had numerous vendors selling these covers. The first on purchased was a nice bright metallic blue...easy to locate! The blue cover is still fine after manipulating it to change the battery. I thought metallic blue color sleeve was perfect until the spare spare fell apart and I purchased the black version. True perfection... it looks like new! And it stretch over the fob even easier than the blue one did. The key, after it was pushed together, fit inside just as described...like a glove! Definitely worth the money!

So I found myself with a broken key fob... The way Ford designed this key fobs is just laughable. And being lucky like I am I also lost my second key fob. So here I am with a key fob that can't be mounted to a keychain. After looking online for one that would hold the thing together and allow me to ring it I decided to give this one a shot and it worked marvelously.While it is TPU in my one at least it is a nice thick TPU casing, it is tight enough that there is no wiggle and it handles the keychain just fine.This saved my ass from having to spend 400 bucks on a new key fob b/c apparently this things are made with gold and diamonds over at Ford.

Was skeptical about which one of these covers I should get because all of the stories you hear about them not fitting correctly. I couldn’t be more happy with the way this one fit. It’s like a perfectly fit glove for the key fob. The metal part of the fob broke off due to the poor design from Ford and this holds it in perfectly.
