Why aren’t these glasses the same weight as the ones we purchased in Switzerland? Are these knock offs?

They are exactly the same glasses and they are all imported from the manufacturer. The Standart and the Gold Edition are of different weights, but they are the same as what you find in Switzerland, because they come from the same manufacturer, Gabriel-Glas.

What detergent or soaps do you use to clean this glass?

I just use Dawn dish soap with an OXO bottle brush, then squirt a little distilled water from a squeeze bottle for a light rinse inside and outside so it dries without spots. Comes out crystal clean each time. I dry upside down on a wine glass drying rack. I haven't noticed any lingering soap scent, but you could use an unscented dish soap if concerned.
