The book has case examples of people with borderline personality and how they interacted with others in their lives. This helped in seeing how our daughter showed some of the same patterns of behavior.

Written for the American reader, this is like reading middle English, so many indecipherable phrases known only to the other side of the pond. Skinny little mf, readable from front to back in a single session. A pamphlet really.

This was advertised and titled, as written for someone with a close friend or family member with borderline personality disorder. However, many sentences were written as directed to the person with the disorder. This needs a massive amount of editing and restructuring to be helpful at all. It was confusing and distracting when the writer's perspective switched back and forth between addressing the person with the disorder and then directed at someone close to them. Despite the book being very short, I could not bear to finish it. Having purchased it as someone close to a person who might have this disorder, I gained nothing helpful from it. It was frustrating to read advice directed at the person with the disorder when that was not what the book was advertised for and not what I bought it for. The author ridiculously recommended that if I were to have a co-worker with this disorder, then I should go to therapy myself to better understand the person's condition. That's what I bought the book for. I have read a ton of self-help books and this was by far the worst. I find it impossible to believe that this book was written by a well-educated person who is an authority on borderline personality disorder.

This book is the worst book ever written.It has poor writing - the guy who wrote this can't spell and has the worst grammar. Don't waste your money on this garbage. This book belongs in the trash.
