Hydra Cup 4 Pack 20oz Protein Shaker Bottles, Barbell Blender Wire Mixer

I am not a protein shake person, but I definitely wanted some of these shaker bottles to use for my overnight oats. The popular name brand lent their name to collaborate with a company for overnight oats. I love the concept, but I think these 20 oz shaker bottles are better quality than their name brand competitor.Let me explain (and these are all the reasons I have switched over to the 28 ounce shaker bottles as well). Just like the popular name brand bottles, these shaker bottles have rounded bottoms so that if you do use some powered mix, it won't get stuck in flattened corner crevices. The rounded bottom also makes cleaning a breeze no matter if hand washing or putting in the dishwasher.Like the competition, there is a nice spiral whisk to break up powders and help facilitate a total mixture of powders in liquid. The competition has a ball, and this whisk is dumbell-shaped. I rather like the dumbell-shaped whisk, but I think both are probably equally effective.It has a very nice "Houdini" hook that tucks away when you're not using it yet is readily available for carrying and transporting. The competition has also moved to a tucked-in hook on some of their bottles.In my opinion, these shaker bottles are similar in their leakproof ability as the major competitor. My experience is that I have not had any issues with leakage although some reviewers have commented on that.Also like the competition, they have a snappy closure that lets you know when the lid is closed. Unlike the competition, these lids will open a full 180 degrees, and as they advertise, there is a better area for nose space.Similar to their competitor, these shaker bottles are BPA free, and the lids and cups feel similar in density and durability. The 20 and 28 oz bottles are also calibrated on the side of the bottle to measure ounces. Both 20 ounce bottles are calibrated up to 16 oz. (The competition calibrates their 28 ounce shaker bottle to 22 oz, and Hydra Cup calibrates to 20 oz.)There are two main features that make the Hydra Cup a better shaker bottle. First, they have added an ice guard to many of their bottles. The ice guard is a disc that sits at the top of the bottle before the lid is put on. If you have ice added in your bottle, it keeps the ice from hitting the inside of the lid and then displacing water onto your face or clothes. The ice guard also acts as an additional agitator to break up powder clumps. It isn't as effective as the whisk, but it does add a second agitator. While I don't use the ice guard in the bottle when I am making my overnight oats, I definitely use them in the 28 ounce shaker bottles, and I bemoan that the competition doesn't have them. At this point, I refuse to purchase a shaker bottle that doesn't have an ice guard.The second main feature that propels Hydra Cup to the top of the shaker bottle pack is that all the Hydra Cup shaker bottles are stackable. Why didn't the competition make their bottles stackable? Real estate in a kitchen is premium, and I think this was the final feature that won me over to these shaker bottles.These 20 ounce bottles do serve as a great way to pack soups for lunch. I usually pour the contents into a bowl at work before putting in the microwave. For carrying contents, however, they are fantastic! I use these 20 ounce bottles for storing sauces and homemade dressings in the refrigerator.I have found so many uses for these, and they are now a staple in my kitchen!

These cups have been awesome and nearly indestructible. Aside from a drop from high up they have survived countless washes in the dishwasher and have not lost their shape or leak resistance. I would buy these time and time again if I needed but I haven't had to because they are still going strong. We lost one just a couple weeks ago to a high drop but after 4 years and countless washes in the dish washer I am still amazed.

Shaker cups are great! Even my 8&11 yr old use them, very easy to use. We just ordered another set, our last set lasted 3 years (still going) and they get used daily and go through dishwasher daily! Cannot recommend these enough. Price is great considering how long they last! Colors are nice and we love the size for easy storage and travel.

EDIT - - - -After my first review of this product, the company reached out to me on their own to offer a replacement for the leaky cups I had gotten. After getting the replacements, 3 of the cups are pretty solid, but the black cup is a bit drippy. In the first set, the black one was the worst while the others were sometimes drippy.My takeaway from all this is that the company wants to improve, they want to provide you with the best product, and they want to make you happy. They listened to my feedback and did what they could to satisfy me.So I have improved my rating from 3 to 4 stars, and in the future I could certainly see them being 5 stars. The only reason I wont give five stars right now is because some of the cups do have leaking issues, but they do back their products and I hope and assume they will use customer feedback and be able to solve any production issues that may be causing bad seals.I think this is a good company doing their best and trying to be better. As long as they continue to have their customers satisfaction in mind, they deserve to be given a chance. I am happy with my purchase and will purchase more in the future as needed.------MY FIRST REVIEW OF THIS PRODUCT-------So, first, they have a thing that comes in the cups that implies that you have won something, but after checking it out, they send it to everyone, and then it is a once a week giveaway on twitter... Assuming they even actually ever give one out. They just want the free advertising, and thats cool, but acting like I was "chosen" for something special is scummy. ...The other petty complaint I have is that they advertise some of the cups as coming in "womens colors" ... I wasnt aware that colors are assigned to people and that drinking out of certain color cups are only for women. Im a man, and I like the color pink as well. As a matter of fact, its my favorite color. So, thanks....About the product itself... It is a roll of the dice of whether or not the cup is going to leak. 3 of the cups did well, but will randomly just leak out of the side for no reason, but then I can try to make them leak and nothing comes out. Its strange. The fourth cup might as well not even have a lid. Water just dumps right out from under the lid every time you tip it without fail. Considering each cup averages out to $5, I would expect better Quality Control, and a better seal.I like these types of cups, I like the shaker ball, it mixes the drinks well, however, my next purchase of shaker cups will be with another company solely because these are pretty leaky and cost more than I believe they are worth.The whole womens colors and clickbait type advertising is just the icing on the 'i dont want to give this company any more money' cake.EDIT - - - -

**3/20/2023 UPDATE**The company reached out to me to make things right. They offered to send me a new shipment and guaranteed they wouldn’t leak. I received them within a few days and to my surprise they didn’t leak! Great quality, great customer support, prompt shipment. Would order again just for their customer support!Recently bought these. Thought they were awesome at first. Great colors, good blender ball, prefect size. Only issue is every single one I received leak. I sent them back first chance I could. Be cautious, last thing I want is a stained shirt in the gym

Total of cups received for the price is totally worth it.I have noticed some leakage but only if the cap is not fully closed. The cap is tough to close but once I know it's secure, there is no leakage.My protein shake is well mixed with little to no lumps and I love the fact that it's dishwasher safe.

I love these. Perfect size to take with you and fits nicely in the car cupholder. Love that it has a blender ball plus a mixing screen at the top. Very easy to blend our shakes now :)

Been using these for a few months now for my breakfast drinks. I have not had one issue with leakage, nor an issue with the lid not closing. They're a lil awkward to clean by hand, but the dishwasher does wonders with all the crannies! They're a perfect size for what I need, and I highly recommend them =)
