Sierra International 18-5274 Tune Up Kit for Mercury Thunderbolt HEI V-6 in Display Package, white, medium

Had a issue with the relucture plate. I think this is the correct name for the metal plate that goes under the rotor. My issue was one of the plates was slightly bent and misaligned. When the engine rotates the plate would of hit the pick up inside and damaged the module. Thank fully for me I had my distributer out and noticed it before installing . I was able to bend it back in shape and reinstall it but wow what a bunch of damaged that could of caused for someone else. I think it may of had to do with the packaging from being shipped because it was shipped in a bubble wrap type envelope instead of in a box. Other wise not sure why it was bent. I still believe this is a quaility part and would still buy from again. Just check over everything before installing.

So, it all works except, I had to reuse the drain from the old cap.The plastic drain they provide does not thread into their cap for me. The old one did though. Hence, three stars.

My boat ignition.

Worked on my 4.3L Mercruiser with thunderbolt ignition. The button was tighter than OEM and I had to push hard. Little harder to feel where it lines up because it was so tight.

fits and works, no issues, service life?the gasket is just a bit oversized not that it matters but be aware.

The tune up kit works good. The distributor cap was a tight fit and seemed to overlap the bottom half attachement. It fit after the screws were tightened, but appears to be off in size by a few millimeters. The quality appears to be good.

for v6 mercruisier as described in header although description in additional info erroneously said v8. Delivered ahead of promise date.
