Fit was tighter than necessary, making reassembly of the transmission a bit fiddly, but it worked out fine in the end. The gears are handed but not marked, so pay close attention to the angle of the teeth when replacing the existing gear.

Don't buy this. The gears are not beveled so it binds up and does't work. There is a plastic/nylon one that reuses the metal centre from your broken gear that fits perfectly. Disappointing is an understatement considering the work required to find out these impressively appearing gears would not mesh smoothly with the gears of the convertible top transmissions of my 2001 Porsche Boxter 986 nor would the transmission cases close completely. After several days delay to replace these gears with another sourced set, I am back on the road smiling, top up or down as I choose...Thumbs up to Amazon return policy!

Received the product. Product was made high quality. However the top row tooth was not meshing well against the roof lifter gears. When counted, it was 1 tooth short.
