Works great!
I have been making stained glass art for more than fifty years. This soldering iron was exactly what I needed for my last project. The 1/4 inch wide tip is perfect.I was hesitant because this iron was priced so reasonable.

finally found an iron that gets hot enough to solder wires, the tip is a little broad, tho

Fast delivery. Provides right amount of heat for heavier objects.
A good product for an occasional solderer such as myself. 100 Watts worth of heat. Would have rate maybe five stars but there is no collar to prevent your hand/fingers. from slipping onto the hot iron. So have to use a little extra caution when using the tool. But it does the job!

Ok for now
I like the price. I bought this to build some antique model railroad structure kits, and it works just fine for soldering corrugated .010 in. tinplate steel. 3 stars because the handle gets really hot, and doesn't protect you from contact with hot metal parts. Pay attention to how you pick it up! When these kits are finished, I'll throw this iron in the recycle bin. If you're looking for a quality tool for long term use? This ain't it.

Works great
This soldering iron is much better than others I've used. It's easy to hold, heats quickly and holds the temperature. It was recommended on a stained glass website and I'm glad that I took that person's advice. I'm not a professional, just a home hobbyist.
