These don't rattle, don't move on their own, and save time.
These are simply the best-designed cymbal wing-nuts for the price. These are lightweight, reliable, durable, and easy to use. I have not had any issues with them falling off, nor have I had any problems with them not fitting the (mostly standard) M8 threads atop my Yamaha booms. These also don't rattle, nor do they move themselves up or down on the threads while I am playing. After seeing "Standup for Drummers" by Fred Armisen I could not stop thinking about the aggregate amount of time I have spent spinning little wingnuts on the tops of cymbal stands, occasionally dropping them, and trying to figure out where they went on a dark stage over decades of drumming. Maybe it's just me, but I have never felt great about standing there spinning little wing-nuts when the clock is ticking during a changeover. I decided to finally order these, and have installed them on my show kit's four cymbal stands. Granted, because these are black, they would be harder to find on a dark stage when compared to a chrome wingnut, but I feel like I am less likely to drop the Tama nut because I already have a good grip on them when they come off the stand. (I think Tama also makes brightly-colored variants.) You might be thinking these are a waste of money because "how long does it really take to unscrew a few cymbals?" Consider that you take them off and put them back on two times each per show, and (depending on how many cymbals you have) it could be a couple of minutes on each end; those couple of extra minutes could be the difference between you dialing-in your monitor mix, or playing-through an extra section at sound-check! Metal wingnuts can also rattle, and can sometimes move up or down during play. These Tama nuts don't move, and -- if you want to adjust the tension of your stack, or adjust sound/movement of your cymbal -- you can push the buttons in and move the nut up/down, or you can just turn it like a regular wingnut for fine-tuning the tension. Just try these, and you won't want to go back to regular wingnuts.

Worth it
Work well, way quicker and easier than traditional cymbal stand nuts

Great Product! (Pay attention to the inside diameter of the Quick Set)
Great product! They slip on/off quickly without issue and hold well when attached. I do have one older stand that has a slightly smaller diameter tilter assembly than the inside diameter of the Quick Set, and as a result the Quick Set does not work well with this stand; it barely grabs the threads of the smaller diameter tilter assembly and the Quick Set will fly off of the stand with an aggressive strike on the cymbal (I have a 10" splash on this stand). On that note, they are durable! I messed with the Quick Set on this stand for a while, trying to make it work before I gave up -- I launched the Quick Set across the room quite a few times during testing and the spring/clamp still works great! I am using that particular Quick Set on another stand. These work great, but pay attention to the inside diameter of the Quick Set as well as the outside diameter of your tilter assemblies to ensure a good fit.

Work Great!! Unless you have Yamaha stands
These work great and stay in place onTama and Pearl stands but will pop off on Yamaha stands.

Not Good For Drums BUT Still a Good Product
As a drum product, I do not recommend these for medium to heavy hitters. I can only ever use one on the ride as it will fly away on a crash or efx cymbal. What I really like these for is actually non-drummer applications. I dabble in lighting and an annoying issue I had was spinning a bunch of wingnuts on a light bar takes forever. I swapped out the lightbar wingnuts for the cymbal mates and now lights are on/off in less than a second. All the weight is on the wingnut, but from my testing, it will not budge even when holding the whole light by the wingnut and violently shaking it. Its not a great drum product because a cymbal will shift it at an angle that will cause it to fly off or at the very least shift up some threads. It would work fine for a jazz drummer, but what jazz drummer uses wingnuts? Where I think this product shines is as a general purpose stationary wingnut.

No issues whatsoever...
I am curious about the negative reviews regarding these flying off. I have them on three different drum sets and five different types of stands. Yamaha, Tama, Gibraltar, Crush, and CDP. I frequently trade cymbals around the sets as the drums are retuned and as when there are gigs, depending on the type of venue - different cymbals and setting up and tearing down. After five years I haven't encountered this issue at all. They are simple, easy to use, make for fast changes, and don't detract from the cosmetics of the drums. Maybe our styles of playing are greatly different. I would recommend these as wing nut replacements and also keep a few spares, not because of breakage or loss, but because I can lay them down and walk off...Duh!

Fast, easy setup and breakdown
Okay, it doesn't take long to unscrew a cymbal nut. But it does take time... and these don't. Squeeze and it's on. Squeeze and it's off. It's still threaded inside, so you can make the same kind of adjustments as with the standard screw-on nuts. Are they worth the price? Probably not. But, if you want to spend $20 on yourself for a small luxury, why not?

Just o
They work as long as you donโt cinch down your cymbals. I like my ride to be a little tight on some setups so these nuts will not work.

A must-have for drummers! I swear by these little lifesavers now! They go on and off with ease, a very secure fit and they are well-built, not cheap or flimsy. Some other are bright pink, too, which I'm not particularly fond of. These are a major time saver when you are setting up and tearing now, especially when you're doing it several times a day. At almost $12 each at most stores I've looked at, this 4 pack is also a real steal. Have already ordered another set to have in my accessories kit. Thank you TAMA for a super-practical and useful product! Fast shipping, too!

Really simple idea and might seem a bit of a luxury or gimmick, but they do a great job. No loosening while playing - you decide how loose you want your cymbals to be by choosing which way up to put the cymbal mate, and then they stay that way however long or hard you play. And at the end of a long day, they make packing down that little bit quicker; no more spinning wing nuts flying off into some dark corner of the stage as you loosen them - these just lift off when you squeeze them. It's surprising just how much the little things make a difference.
