If you were hoping for a gel, do not buy this!!! But if you're okay with a liquid, it's AMAZING. Pure aloe, nothing added, and requires no refrigeration. I have been looking for pure aloe to drink, work through my hair - real aloe provides amazing protection against split ends - and apply directly to the skin of my face and body. REAL, pure aloe is a fantastic, natural moisturizer. Applying it to razor burn clears up irritation in a day or so, and it works wonders healing scrapes, cuts, and burns. Should be a part of any first aid kit, I HIGHLY recommend "George's Aloe Vera Aloe Vera Liquid." It IS a liquid, so you'll be disappointed if you were hoping for a gel, but it tastes AWESOME, like tap water, and doesn't cause any irritation. It's incredibly soothing on dry skin and scrapes, though a little messier to apply than a gel alternative [just because it has a water consistency and runs everywhere, like water]. Luckily it's entirely colorless and so is unlikely to stain. If you MUST have a gel,"Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Gel" is not bad. Provides immediate soothing relief. For some reason, though, on many people it will inflame the skin somewhat - and just temporarily - for a little while after application, especially on the face, neck, and shoulders. It still FEELS great going on, but SOMETHING about it causes a reaction in some people, including myself, which is why I switched to George's. I still use Lily of the Dessert to smooth my knees, legs, elbows, etc. As a gel it works better as something to rub in in greater quantity, so more is absorbed. It definitely does more to soften tough calluses than George's could, unless I made myself a whole bath of George's to soak in. Anyway, I will definitely be ordering more soon, and in bulk! George's is great. Maybe someday they will develop a good gel formula as well.

My mother's sister had terminal Diabetes in 1969 when our USA medical industry did not consider this physical illness a major circumstance in people's lives. Her doctors were 2 -3 weeks from cutting off both of her legs. This was shocking for me! My Mom had heard of George's Aloe Barbendensis Miller and literally got in her car and drove to the town where they processed this plant from the desert and brought back 4 gallons. My Aunt refused to be in the hospital. After my Mom daily gave my Aunt about 5 glasses of George's Aloe Barbendensis Miller consistently for about 6 or 7 days, my Aunt stopped losing blood and the liquid coming out gradually became clear, my Aunt's skin, instead of looking like flour-coated, fried and burned chicken skin, my Aunt's skin on both her feet looked like "baby skin." After witnessing this I have been drinking this product since 1980 instead of water. It tastes exactly like regular water. This is the reason southern people call it the 'roadrunner's water." And the roadrunner's life force is awesome. This nutrient is absolutely natural. Nothing is put in it to create a "shelf life." It goes into every cell of your body and supports your own physical biotanical-army functions to take care of removing whatever is obstructing your health. A dear friend has been taking these for years. She has same sensitive gut, ibs and overall problems with digestion as I do. I have tried a lot of OTC brand and equate type of aloe Vera sold at big National grocery stores but I’m impressed with this brand because it has no taste and it’s very well made and it helps me greatly. I rarely do reviews on any of my purchases but I highly recommend to anyone dealing with sensitive stomach gut issues and ibs. I’ve suffered from severe ibs for close to 20 years. Therefore, I’ve tried alot of products along this line over the years. Good price & great quality in my opinion.
