I was impressed by the size and weight of the piece. It is a thick slab rounded off nicely. The packaging was a mess due to confetti sized brown paper that’s tightly packed around the thick bubble wrapped slab. Trying to stuff all of that into the small box does create some uneven pressure of the stone. No surprise, mine was broken cleanly apart on one of the veins. A stress fracture.The thing holding it together was a cheap piece of felt glued to the bottom. Was this meant to be a home accent piece? Structural integrity for a badly cut slab? Whichever, that should be a customer decision, not the seller. For those wanting to accent it over an LED light, think again. Removing the glue could cause some ugliness and risk to a stone that doesn’t like moisture. This was also an unpolished piece so the glue embedded itself well into the stone. That’s why stone shops stress the fact that selenite is self-cleansing (energetically) so don’t use water, especially not salt water, to cleanse it yourself.I bought this to serve as a charging plate for a large crystal skull I recently picked up from a crystal whole seller I buy from. I have a lot of crystals/minerals in all forms so I know the selenite, its energetic/healing value, proper care, and most importantly the delicate nature of the threaded veins. Ironically, this piece was shipped in a larger Amazon box with a selenite tower lamp that was fine. The damage occurred in the packing of this product at the seller’s end. The way it was packaged (wrapped in oversized bubble wrap, stuffed unevenly into a small box, and then stuffed even tighter with paper graffiti), what did the seller expect? Normally, you’d not find anything like this in shops or fairs for less than $30 retail. With its size and weight it’s an excellent deal if it survives the shipping from wherever on the globe it originated. In this case, that is Morocco via a U.S. wholesale/retailer that’s drop shipping from Amazon.I’m returning the charging plate for a refund. It’s an excellent deal but the glued felt pad totally turned me off or I would have requested an exchange. Good luck with yours!

I recieved Selenite Charging Plate broken, also taped up in the back, its too obvious it was packaged broken, the packaging was caught between the cracks. I guess someone did not do a good job of doctoring this up before sending, dishonesty is not worth it. I will be returning
