Depends on the seller. I've bought two. The first one came is a box and as packaged perfectly. The second, came from Amazon, the hat and feather were smashed in my mailbox and came in an Amazon bag. I got a discount after complaing, it would only be in even worse shape had I sent it back. But it isn't in the best condition compared to the 1st one
