Yes, you have to enter the serial number of the filter in the machine

Hi. Does this filter comes with the code that is inserted into the machine? Note that is not the serial parts, there is a code that is unique for each filter and can only be used on one machine. Thanks for your reply.

Hello, Yes each filter comes with the 10 digit activation code unique to that filter. Every now and then I will get a filter that the machine wont recognize the activation code, I call tech at Robinair and they will supply an override code, its rare but it does happen. Hope this helps.
