Hide & Drink Rustic Leather Bicycle Frame Handle (Bike Handle) Handmade

I honestly wasn't expecting the leather to be as nice as it is--it looks great and functions well. I carry my bike up and down 3 flights of stairs almost daily and have used this handle for the past 4 months. Seems like it will easily hold up for years.

It's a nicely-built bike frame handle. I was worried about its interference with the shift cables in the first place. The clearance on my bike is wide enough the house the thickness of the leather.

My condo is a 3rd floor walk up, and I have to carry my bike in and out because I can’t leave it locked outside overnight unless I want to find it stripped of its wheels, shifters, pedals, and anything else removable.My bike isn’t heavy to carry. It’s just awkward (especially when it comes time to pull the door open to go out). I ordered this simple strap as an impulse purchase when I was browsing wallets, and I’m so very glad I did! It’s made carrying my bike up and down the stairs a breeze because I can now do it one handed.

I’ve got a bad back and this leather bicycle frame handle definitely makes it a little easier to lift/carry my bicycle when necessary.Edit:Three days later, I noticed that the unit I received was a little different from the one in the product photos. The unit I received does not have the small bands that secure the excess leather straps, so the excess leather straps just stick out from my bicycle. The missing bands do not take away from the product’s intended use, but it gives the unit an “unfinished” or “unrefined” look. Albeit not an expensive accessory, quality control missed the missing bands on this quality handmade item.

This item is of the highest quality of any purchased i have made and at a great price as well. I also love the company back story. I am looking for excuses to buy more from this vendor.

Cool in concept. Terrible design & execution. The exposed rivet has scratched the paint off of my new two week old bike. I tightened the strap to the highest buckle setting but it still scraped the paint off. The rivet should have been covered. Take your money elsewhere. Thanks a lot jerks.

I live in a second floor apartment in an old brownstone with a narrow stairwell. It changed my life.Before buying this handle I would have to hoist my bike onto my shoulder and struggle to simultaneously keep my balance, keep my long hair from getting caught on the bike, and keep the bike's front wheel from wobbling while carrying my heavy old utility bicycle up the stairs every day. My back hurt. My shoulder hurt. The walls in my building's stairwell were accumulating tire marks.My bike is still heavy, but it's a million times easier to just reach down and grab that handle then it is to heave my bike onto my shoulder. I take my bike out more often because it isn't such a pain to get my bike downstairs. I have to tilt the bike up or down a little bit to help it clear the steps but it does clear the steps.P.S.: I like the leather but it doesn't match my bike and I can't recommend it to my vegan friends. I wish this handle came in nylon too

This really helps me carry my bike upstairs, I just wish it came in other colors. Very good material and sturdy.

Nifty! Love using it during multi-modal bus/subway/cycling commute, carrying the bike down escalators (not havinf to wait for elevators) with this grip is much easier than shouldering the bike.
