My kid is so happy now because we're on a tight budget and when he dropped his iphone 5, I told him there was no way I'm paying to have someone replace the screen. So he went to Amazon and found this do it yourself deal and I said I'd give it a shot since it was so darn cheap...... and voila, he has a nice new screen after weeks of trying to peer through a nasty cracked mess! I'd never done anything like this before, but the reviews were positive so I gave it a shot - and they were right, it was not hard at all! The instructions were clear and replacing the screen took maybe 1 to 1 1/2 hours. If I ever have to do it again it would probably take me half that long. Highly recommend this product!!

To start with, I am not at all a tech savy person whatsoever. I had almost no faith in myself that I could actually accomplish this job of replacing the glass on my old shattered iphone. Are you kidding me?!? But My son needed a phone, and since i had a shattered one lying around I thought, what have I got to lose? So... first off... they shipped my product immediately. Once it shipped and was on its way to me they sent a follow up email with additional tips, along with an extremely helpful link to a step by step instructional YouTube video. Once I got the package, I opened it up. Beautiful... everything was nicely packaged and safely in its place. It also came with a paper pamphlet with step by step visual directions.. also very helpful. My advice to you, make sure you have a clean cleared off work station. make sure you keep your screws separate according to each step and know where they go back, cuz they are tiny, and can be hard to differentiate from eachother. I just had three little paper plates, and each step where I had to remove screws got it's own plate. And.... follow that video they recommend step by step. I worked along with it, pausing when I needed, ALWAYS listening first to the instruction before trying to figure it out myself. There are super delicate cables inside, and one rushed move can destroy them. So be CAREFUL AND PATIENT! Patience is key here!! All in all, I'm basically a huge idiot when it comes to this sort of thing, never once have I ever attempted "surgery" on anything electrical... but they made this easy enough for even me. And thats saying a lot!!! Next gonna tackle my old shattered iPad!

I rarely leave reviews but felt I needed to on this item. First, replacing this screen is no easy task. This is not the fault of the product, just they way it is made. I have never seen such small screws in my life. I battled this thing for over an hour before I was finally able to get everything put back together properly. The instructions provided are not very detailed, better to go on to YouTube if you are up for the challenge. I started it up, everything worked properly, thought... excellent, saved buying a new phone. Well, that lasted for 6 days. Everything was working and then randomly half the screen went out. I gave the product the benefit of the doubt, thought maybe it was the way I put it together, pinched wire or something. Took it all apart again, examined everything, put it back together as carefully as possible.... nope, half screen still doesn't work. Long story short, if you feel getting an extra week out of your phone and don't mind sacrificing a fair amount of time is worth $30 then go for it. If you'd rather just save yourself the time and frustration, only to have to start over a week later... best to look at other options.

Cracked my iPhone 5C from playing basketball and slipping out of my pocket, dropping it onto hard cement and shattering the whole screen. Bought this screen as a replacement, and it was an excellent, decently priced replacement. Comes with all the neccesary tools and also some extra goodies, including a screen protector and a keyring holder. The LCD portion of the screen, as in the part you touch, is a little smaller than the original Apple screen but it is such a small difference that it does not really make a difference to me. The quality of the screen itself, as in colors/lights/display is just as good as original. The screen is perfectly responsive and I've had the new screen for a little over 2 months now and it's still going strong. I have a screen protector over it and despite dropping it (with a brand new, protective case, of course,) it is still flawless.I actually bought this and had someone else fix the screen for me with this product, and they told me that this is one of the better replacements because it comes with all the proper tools, so I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking to replace their 5C screens.

I bought the HTECHY LCD Display Digitizer Touch Screen replacement because my kid iPhone 5C screen was cracked. This 5C replacement packaging includes all tools needed to perform the repair. It also comes with instructions with OR code for youTube video. The instructions are OK and video is good except the video indicates that you must remove the clear plastic camera holder and proximity holder. You don't have to remove these parts from the old board since the replacement board has these parts. In addition, it includes a magnetized board with picture to keep track where all the screws were removed so that you don't make any mistake when you need re-assemble all the screws.I was able to replace my kid iPhone 5C screen, but it will take about 45 mins to perform this task since. The most difficult task was to re-assemble the shield holder for the camera and earpiece. Overall, the screen and touch screen work fine. It did not have any dead pixels.Updated: After 30 days, the screen went blank. I re-opened and re-seated the connectors but the screen does not work. I contacted HTECHY and they quickly responded. Working with them to get a refund or replacement part.
