No sipper lip
No sipper lid, love Zojirushi and this just added to the collection. Just wish it had a sec lid for drinking coffee. Not fond of tea but know coffee stays hot a real long time when the lid is screwed back on in between sips. Love the handle, just wish my tumblers had handles.

Great mug but...
I love Zojirushi products.I own their rice cookers, some thermoses, and I've decided to give this thermo-mug a try.I love everything about it, but...The ONE thing I hate about it is, it's difficult to clean with a normal sponge.I can see this not being an issue for people with smaller hands, but if you've got large hands, you'll find cleaning it to be quite cumbersome.Regardless, still recommend!

Good but...
I like this because I wanted a travel mug that worked with loose leaf tea AND had a handle (why that's so tough to find I don't know). This solves for that. BUT other reviewers are right, having to drink this *only* with the top off is a ridiculous thing. That's why the heat retention (1hr) is so low: it's essentially exposed to the air, unless you're taking the top off/putting it back on throughout the entire drinking process, which is kind of inconvenient too. For the price, not being able to keep the lid on... that's really silly. Really silly.

Can't enjoy the tea with lid on . . . a NOPE design.
Well, I'm sorry to give it a low rating. It's a lovely mug and I would have liked to use it. Alas, it IS a thermal mug but the lid is only on for steeping and sipping so the heat just escapes from the open top, anyway. It isn't the type of lid to be left on while enjoying the tea. That is really too bad. Lovely cup in every other way.

Very poor customer service after I reported a problem
About a month after I received this product, I noticed that there were thin black peelings floating in my coffee. I thought it was a one time thing, so I ignored it. However, it continued to happen. It seemed like there was a lining at the top of the mug where the plastic part meets the stainless steel. I contacted Zojirushi to explain the problem and was told that I needed to clean the mug because it was old coffee or tea that was causing the problem. I sent photos and explained that it was not coffee or tea because I cleaned the mug after each use. The customer service rep seemed not to believe me. I am now at the point where I will be mailing the peelings to customer service so that they can see the problem with their own eyes. I have had the mug for 3 ½ months. This is completely unacceptable.

Good quality as expected from Zojirushi
I know Zojirushi quality for one of their insulated carafe's that has served perfectly for years. I bought this product on appreciation of the size and the open-end handle for ability to hang it up when working, but I expected it to have a sipping cap for travel purposes. I was very disappointed to find that it did not have that feature. Drinking from it can only be done with the top wide open which defeats the good insulation value of the cup as well as being unsuitable for travel. I gave it away to someone who didn't need the travel capability.I can only hope that Zojirushi can come up with an accessory travel cap.

It is leaking water
It is leaking water but not too much. Can keep my coffee warm all day long, but it is very difficult to clean up after use.
