This pattern is fairly easy to follow but the dress itself wasn't appealing. Unfortunately, you have to put the whole thing together before you know how it fits. This is due to how the you elastic waist and elastic upper back are constructed, I made mine in the appropriate size, which ended up being way to big. There was a lot of excess fabric between the elastic bands (top and waist), which created a big ballooning bulge around the back. Like as thigh I had a spare tire between my shoulder blades. To solve the issue I shirred the bodice back.Even with all of the excess fabric, there wasn't enough cleavage coverage (and I am not particularly modest) so I added a ruffle along the neckline to make this more casual day time less bar star.I pretty much ended up re-drawing the pattern and making an almost completely different pattern, with several inches removed in width of the bodice and with a full bust adjustment. I totally love my custom pattern and I would recommend this pattern as a starting point for anyone who likes the crossover neckline. I have not made the peasant blouse style dress. In either view, I highly recommend shutting rather than using the two bands of elastic in order to give the garment shape.
