Kettle Brand Potato Chips Sea Salt, 8.5 Oz

When they arrived I was happy and ate a bag after opening the box.For some reason me being el cheapo always looking to get my money's worth, I thought hey 72 1oz packages, let me be sure there are 72 actually in there.To my surprise almost red in the face and after counting the bags TWICE in neat 5 bag piles, I came to the conclusion that there were only 64 in the box when they arrived! Upon closer examination of the box I noticed they had hand holes which you can almost easily slip out the bags of chips, after examining the box even closer I noticed one hand hole had a rip in it making it very very easy to slide out one of the 1oz bags of chips.Hot tempered I became FURIOUS! All I can think about is the UPS guys eating my chips and laughing at me! I figured I'd get some pay back and slash the trucks tires when I see it parked in my neighborhood! But OF COURSE, being a responsible adult, I haven't gone that far though it will be so worth it if/when/ I DO! :)I immediately contacted amazon and explained in a brief paragraph via email the situation, very soon after I received a response that another box of 72 1oz packages will be delivered free of charge; amazing response time and solution that I'm very pleased with! I described the horrid packaging as well and I hope they address that issue but I doubt it. There should be no hand holes, and the bags of chips should be sealed in an air tight zip lock type of bag.So when you get yours, count them! Box with hand holes is just asking for trouble, you can see what's inside without having to open the box, easy pick ins! I still rate the product 5 stars due to the amazing customer service via AMAZON, and the chips are what I expected as far as quality and flavor. There were however grease stains on the bottom of the box but I haven't found a bag that wasn't full of air so I'm unsure what happened there.

There are several serious considerations to take into account when trying to buy potato chips on Amazon. There are not too many offerings of individual, small packets being sold on Amazon, and with the too few offerings, they,(individual small size bags) are only available in mixed flavors, (usually 4 flavors, Salt & vinegar, honey barbecue, too hot to eat Jalapeno's , etc ) but the major feed back complaints are: arrived into crumbled, broken pieces, stale tasting, way over expiration dates, etc, etc,etc.The only 2 brands I ever buy on Amazon are, Tim's and Kettle, because they're the only 2 brand on Amazon worth eating. This purchase was for Kettle this time, because the price was more favorable for my pocket, the best buy, but couldn't find, would have been either one of these 2 brands available in small bags, unsalted. Kettle's don't make unsalted, Tim's make unsalted, but not available in small packets. Why the search for unsalted ? To minimize high blood pressure attributed to high salt contents in general ! I bought a carton of 72 packets of Kettle's, so I'm "In The Chips", at least for a while ?

Thicker and crispier than your tradition potato chips with great taste. The salt seemed to be baked into the chips rather than sprinkled on which makes every bite satisfying without having a lot of salt rubbing on your fingers.The one ounce bags are great for children or if you want portion control with your snacking/meals habits. This product is great for kids lunches as it's just the perfect amount without overdoing the calories/fat/salt intake and will teach kids proper portion control.This is not a good product if you want to snack in bulk as there are cheaper options if you buy larger bags. Each bag comes with around 15-20 chips depending on the sizesPackaging wise it could use some work. The open-tab opens vertically which doesn't make much sense as you get disoriented from turning it to the side and having the text in the wrong position and may spill on occasion if you are not self aware. The only reason I think it is designed this way is that it discourage you from digging deep into the bag and getting your hands greasy as there is more open space for your hands to reach in. Also upon opening it's hard to re-seal prompting you eat it all in on go.Overall great tasting product, individual packaging needs a bit of work 4.5/5

This potato chip is amazing! Each chip is crisp and enticing.I ordered this in July and the Best Used By date was 30 October. Of course in my home, they would never last that long! The chips are safely stored in the thick bag and to my astonishment, there seemed to be no broken chips and the bag actually looked full when I opened it (none of that 1/3 full bag after settling stuff).The ingredients are simple and natural: potato, oil, sea salt. The bag of 8.5 oz provides about 8 servings.The chips themselves are as described by the maker: bold flavor and have a hearty crunch. Each chip has a unique look like a fine piece of art that makes the mouth water in anticipation. And let me tell you, they taste heavenly.Only potential drawbacks: 1) they are really crisp and may cause some discomfort if your mouth/gums are sensitive/sore, and 2) it is difficult to eat only the suggested serving of only 13 chips.Overall, awesome, and mean AWESOME chip!

I cannot stop eating these! If I open a bag, I try to stop eating them when I've had about 6 chips. What? Only six? If I'm watching TV, I can easily get distracted and gobble up half the bag in no time. So, I usually just pour a few into a bowl and try to stop myself from eating more. Thumbs Up to KETTLE! I'm hooked!
