Ade Advanced Optics RD3-018-SC Spike Red Dot for Springfield Hellcat (OSP/PRO), P365XL Spectre Comp and Canik TP9 Elite SC

This optic is pretty tiny! Mounts with no adapter plate on my Hellcat OSP. It indexed perfectly onto the slide. Co-witnesses well with the factory sights. The first thing the instructions say is to replace the CR2032 battery. Which I had to do. The included battery was dead. The optic has to be removed from the slide to teplsce the battery. The well psckaged kit includes the optic with battery, a rubber optic cover, 5 bags of screws (which already have a threadlocker on them) for various applications, 1 year warranty instructions, owner handbook, cleaning cloth, and a tool for sight adjustment. You cannot change the size or brightness of the dot. It changes itself with ambient light brightness. I torqued the screws to 12 inch pounds, per the instructions. I have yet to range test the sight performance. Will update soon.

I absolutely love this red dot so far. It's sleek, easy to install and adjust to zero, and looks/feels high quality. I haven't tested it out at the range yet so depending on how that goes, my feelings could change but for now, I'm very impressed.

Works as advertised. That’s the hallmark of a quality product. Put it on a Canik tp9 SC Elite. Used plate Canik provided. Easy on. Sighted with bore sight. Nine rounds later dead on. Really that simple. Immediate improvement in groups. Requires some practice initially locating dot, but it’s doable. Once found it’s on. I now shoot this pistol as well as I shoot its big brother the Canik tp9 SF. I replaced my Glock 19 and Taurus G3C with this combination.

It is great for the price. I however wish it was easier to adjust.

It’s good however when you fire the gun it loosens the screws making your battery loose so the reticle goes in and out

The ADE spike was installed on a hellcat pistol and fit good. It only lasted 5 shots and then it seems the light sensor was damaged because the dot is so dim that it can’t be seen unless pointing to something black in a dark room. This was a Christmas present and what a disappointment to only last 5 shots. The dot will not get any brighter now even in bright sunlight. I even replaced the battery to make sure it was not bad and it did not help. The problem has to be with the light sensor. A day later the red dot was working again but the dot is not great and is fuzzy. Contacted ADE and they responded quickly and have shipped a new one out to me.

Perfect fit on the Canik Mete SFX using the raised one side plate that comes with the Canik. Use the screws Canik provides and not what comes with the optic. I highly suggest reading the optic directions, which clearly state to prevent the optic turning off after firing a round or two is to use the included rubber spacer. On the Canik Mete SFX you get a perfect co-witness. Mine was right on the money out of the box and after 500 rounds it held true. As far as battery life, that I am unsure of, since I just got it. What I don't like is having to remove the optic to change the battery. If the battery life stinks, I'll update my review. Again, though, read the directions and keep the optic covered when not in use.
