Wow. What a difference this plus my new routine has given me glowing skin. I think tge salacylic acid in the cleanser (it is time release) plus my moisturizer took away redness & uneven skin. This is amazing! I started getting adult chin acne & i had splotchy skin & redness and some brown spots. 2x a day I started using Murad Clarifying cleanser & The LaRoche Pose Touralaine Double acting moisturier in the after Murad Salacylic Acid Outsmart acne in the AM followed And Baebody eye creme. I use murad outsmart acne in under moisturizer in the am And LaRoche-Pose effaclear in the evening. My skin looks great (i am still getting acne but much smaller). I truely think the Clarifying Cleanser and this Moisturizer are making my skin glow. The product is a bit pricey but everything will last at least 6 mos, maybe a year...so over all it is nit an expensive regimine. I also use tge baebody on non eye wrinkles tgat are starting. It looks like it comes in a jar but it has a pump thingie so you dont contaminate tge cream. All together it was maybe just under $100 but it will last so long and works so well it is affordable. I am very happy to have read the reviews and found a system that actually works. I don't have sensitive skin and for some reason Proactiv gave me an allergic reaction. I think it was too harsh. I suffer from adult acne and have had HORRIBLE breakouts which made me look into finding a solution that wouldn't break my budget entirely. There is no worse feeling then paying an arm and a leg for a bunch of expensive products that don't work! Murad has a great reputation as well, and although it's not too pricey, it's not too cheap either. Unfortunately Neutrogena wasn't cutting it for me! It's important to get products in the same line so that they work well together towards a common goal. And definitely get your skin evaluated first before making your purchase. Massage Envy locations use Murad products, so they were able to give me a skin analysis and I went home and ordered the stuff a la carte. I use this along with the Clarifying Toner and Gentle Acne gel and it has reduced the amount of breakouts within the first week of me using it! It also shortens the duration and lowers the severity of new breakouts. I will be using this stuff for a while! It's always good to stick with something that works!

I've been using this cleanser for over a year and it has been wonderful. I am unsure of why there are so many negative reviews recently, perhaps there were defective items? I used to have bad cystic acne that would pop up every once in a while. I started with this cleanser and the serum in the same line. It helped immensely but it did take time. Give it at least a month before getting angry. Some things work and some things don't. That's life people. Anyways, I use this once per day, in the morning, and a more gentle cleanser at night. Because of this a bottle can last me more than 12 months. Amazing! I like that the ingredients fight acne continuously after you use it. Therefore I don't have to use additional acne products and can work on fighting other skin concerns like anti-aging. I start with a (yes, Murad) toner after cleansing, follow up with a serum and finally the Murad Essential C Day Moisture + SPF 30 to protect. It's the best moisturizer btw. I can't say enough great things about the product. It does what it claims and is super affordable especially for the quality. Once you receive your product check the expiration date to ensure that it's not expired (I mean, who really knows where these sellers got their items and how old they are??) This is how Murad explained it to me: The batch code on the product will provide you with the production date. The batch code consists of a letter-number-letter-number combination. The number represents the year of production and the 3rd letter represents the month it was produced. Sometimes there are two letters at the beginning, just focus on the number-letter combination. The code will be stamped on the bottom of the bottles/jar. For the tubes it will be stamped on the crimp when the back of the tube is facing you. For Example: N3L0 would have been created November of 2013 CC4F1 would have been produced June of 2014 CC5J2 would have been produced September 2015 We do not use the letter "I" in our codes. Below is the chart for the months of the year. A = January; B = February; C = March; D=April; E=May; F=June; G=July; H=August; J=September; K=October; L=November; M=December Any of our products, when stored properly and unused and unopened have a shelf life of 3 years unless there is an active ingredient listed. Active ingredients would include Salicylic Acid or sunscreens for example. These ingredients are listed separately from the other ingredients and their specific percentage is shown. In those cases the unused/unopened package has a shelf life of 2 years.

Let me provide a run-down of my acne trouble BEFORE using Murad: 1. During PMS I get white-heads in crops on my eyebrows, hair line, nostrils and chin which usually swell to the point where they are painful. If I get any on the sides of my face, near my eyes, then my eyes swell and start closing on me. 2. I have horrible black-heads in the hundreds on my nose, forehead and chin. 3. I get tiny white-heads on my lower jaw and that will swell to giant white-heads if popped. AFTER using Murad: In regard to number 1, I still got the white-head crops during PMS but the swelling problem has stopped completely. I am still getting white-heads on my cheeks near my nose, but they don't swell and go away quickly. For number 2, I have almost no black-heads on my chin, and forehead. I still have hundreds of black-heads on my nose, but next to my nose they are nearly extinct. Number 3, I still get these little white-heads and I just leave them alone, because next day they disappear. I use Murad once in the morning and once in the evening. After three days I did notice the results of numbers 2 and 3. It is working, and it is doing something, but three weeks in, the results are not what are described in their advertisements. I don't look that much different than when I did before using Murad, other than I am not swollen anymore. I did choose this product primarily to be pain free, and not so much about vanity, but I am tired of being mistaken for a teenager due to acne in my mid-twenties. I have noticed that the lack of better results are due to my hair secreting a lot of oils, which means I need to wash my hair every single day, as well as condition it. If I don't do this, I break out, even though I am using Murad. I did try washing my face with Dove soap and then using Murad just to see if that made a difference, and it did not. I don't recommend that anyways because it is over-washing, which is just as unhealthy and not washing enough. I have not had problems with peeling skin, dryness or sensitivity. My skin gets a little tight right after washing my face with Murad, but that goes away after about an hour. I am going to continue using Murad because it is helping, and it is possible that with me and how awful my acne is, that it just takes longer. Not everyone sees dramatic results right away. Do I recommend it? If you are going to keep up with it, and based on the good feedback I have read and my own experience, yes.
