Amazing
A fantastic mind expander for 5-86 year olds! Fun, too. Real brain food.

So cool! Somewhat fragile.
I agree with other reviews, this can be fragile to handle. The plastic mirror surface essentially cannot get dirty because if you try to clean it it's VERY easy to scratch. Which ruins the effect. (Also the top and bottom came apart in my hands while trying to put it away, but it goes right back together.)The effect is a trip! I would say for the price it's totally worth it for an older/careful child. For a careless or young kid, expect this to not last beyond 1 or 2 uses.

Incredibly cool
This thing is unreal. You won't believe how cool it looks until you see it. The object inside appears as a hologram at the top of the opening, and it looks 3D, has all the colors and shapes, everything. I'm completely sold on the concept, now I'm looking for a bigger, sturdier one - but at this price, this is totally worth it.

wonderfull toy for a pre teen!
i gave this to my 9 yo grand daughter and shethought it wonderfull!!!she showed it off to her parents and all her friends!!!it is plastic and not a "forever" toybut is is not low quality toy!!it fits togeather quite nicely andworks wonderfull at the right angle of viewing!!!will it break ,,, yes ..all toys will...is it worth it ?darn tooting it is !!!amaze your kids and your self if you have never seen onegreat toy and great pricedont let any one saying it is cheesy bother youwhile it is not a forever lasting toy... it will break if you step on itit will last a good whilethe worse thing i can see is the mirror finish will scratch if theymove it around with coins in it !!!and that will make it not so great to look atbut .. you are not paying a arm and a let for it!!!yes .. i highly recomend this toy!!

Nice toy for kids and worth the price paid, be very careful when cleaning mirror surfaces!
Be very careful when cleaning the mirror surfaces, they are very easily scratched and I ruined mine by just trying to wipe the accumulated dust off the bottom mirror with a cotton cloth! If you need to clean I would recommend using a can of compressed air, you cannot clean anything that requires wiping as the mirror will scratch and affect will be lost. Does what it says and overall worth the price (less than $10). I would rate it higher if it were a bit larger to accommodate some larger objects and if the base was attached to the bottom mirror piece (the small round bottom is a separate piece), it would also be nice if the top mirror somehow locked onto the bottom mirror (maybe like a quarter turn twist to lock or similar). The frog that comes with it is very small but does look cool floating in the air, you cannot use an object that is much larger than the frog that it comes with. It is cool that you can move your finger through the projected object and it doesn't stop you from seeing parts of the object where your finger is not blocking it (unless you have very large fingers that will block the whole object. You have to view the floating object at about a 45 degree angle, if you are looking from the side or more than a 45 degree angle the object will disappear but I cannot fault the product for that since that is just how the mirror reflection works. It is a neat toy for kids and they will be amazed by the floating object.

Fun, interesting, educational.
It illustrates an otherwise illusive concept - that of a 'virtual image'. The little froggy looks so 'real' - as if you could actually touch it. The limitations are simply the limitations of physics. There is, for instance, a range of angles from which the image is visible. Too shallow, and you simply see over the top; too steep and you peer inside. But the comfortably wide range (approx 45 degrees +/- 20 or so degrees) - it works great. You can substitute small object for the included frog, but it's difficult to find something that is short enough to work without also being so small. The frog is short & wide and that shape tends to work best.My 5 year old granddaughter thought it was pretty cool. We had an enjoyable time with it.The whole apparatus is lightweight, almost flimsy feeling plastic. It's stiff enough to hold it's shape, but that's it. I thought we might leave it sitting out - but not sturdy enough. Plus, it would probably collect dust on the mirrored surfaces, which other reviews indicate are extremely easy to scratch. All in all though, for the price, you get a good science lesson and 'cool factor' for science.

This is great
The media could not be loaded. This works perfectly. You just need to look at it from the right angle but evrything besides that is good
