I love this litter!!!! But better yet, so does my lil ole man who doesn't like change!!!
UPDATE: 1/18/2025 I'm still in love with Litter Pearls Micro Crystals Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter with Odorbond, 7 lb, White, Clear and Blue Crystals (LPMC7) Purchased 18 times - Last purchased Jan 16, 2025 1 cat - 30 days 2 cats - 20 days 3 cats - 10 days You can "monitor" to see how long between full change is needed. You will be able to tell because the silica crystals get saturated. You will also be able to tell as well from the color of the silica crystal. Great odor control and cleaning, wiping my babies' litter box (Litter Robot) is so EASY. No sticky clumps of clumping litter. My babies love it. Has the same texture as the sand-like clumping litter but a lot lighter in weight. I can't say enough except try, love it and get the word out. This stuff is AWESOME! Thank you Litter Pearls Micro Crystals Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter with Odorbond! UPDATE: 2/6/2024 Still agreeing with my original review. I was so used to stepping through litter. It took me a few days to realize, I'm not walking through tracked litter anymore! No smell, the litter box stays clean with an easy wipe down once every 1-2 weeks. No litter sticking to the sides of the box and more. LOVE this litter! ORIGINAL: 1/24/2024 Litter Pearls Micro Crystals Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter with Odorbond, 7 lb, White, Clear and Blue Crystals (LPMC7) *****Make sure you get this one, not the clumping or other. Clumping has the sand texture, but sticks. The others seem to have the rough, irregular hard, sharp shapes.***** I have been using for 3-4 weeks. I love this litter and so does my furr baby!!!!! It is PURRRRFECT. Non-clumping and pretty much non-tracking. No order, it is soft, like the texture of most sand like clumping litters. This made transition with my kitties easy, truly, non-existent transition. I have a Litter Robot 4 and Litter Pearls Micro Crystals Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter with Odorbond, 7 lb, White, Clear and Blue Crystals (LPMC7) litter is definitely non-stick and AWESOME. I struggled with most clay litters sticking and very messy. Litter pearls only needs a simple wipe down after the empty and done. I use Pet Wet Wipes and they get the job done easily. Depending on how many furr babies you have will depend upon how ofter you empty. With one using the indoor potty box and one the outdoor, once every 2-3 weeks. Can I say it again, I LOVE THIS STUFF! What makes this litter perfect for Litter robot? Litter robot scoops the hard waist, and "stirs" the litter for you. I love this stuff!!! I did an indpendent review of a few silica litters at my own cost. No freebies. Other silica litters were chunky, hard and sharp and are a definite no. One from this brand was a clump version. I did not like it, it stuck to my litter robot sides. Plus my clumbsy ole man, keeps stepping in it and it ends up everywhere like he did with regular clay clumping litter. lol This stuff no clumping, no tracking, my lil ole man paws stay clean and I do not have litter through out my house. Litter Pearls Micro Crystals Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter with Odorbond, 7 lb, White, Clear and Blue Crystals (LPMC7), you product ROCKS! I thank you, and my kities do too.

Good for Odor Control!
I love this litter! I’ve been using it for just about two years now and I am so happy with the odor control on it and that it’s non-scented! There is minimal dust when you first put it in, but that’s about it and it does track, but odor is the most important for me and I’m very happy with it!

Used Properly, It's Very Good
I have used this product for 30 days now, and totally agree with the other reviewer who said that the negative reviews for Litter Pearls Micro Crystals were because of "user error". I've tried many cat litters and have used Feline Pine original (non-clumping) for at least 14 years. It's an excellent product that eliminates urine odors completely, and is safe for poop to be flushed down the toilet. But recently, my young girl kitty started to develop bleeding ear sores and blisters, and after ruling out food allergies, etc., we traced it to the Feline Pine--perhaps it was a reaction to whatever oils remain in the product after kiln-drying, but we just don't know. While researching new litter, I wanted something of a benign, non-chemical/non-scented nature. And I also remembered that my two cats seemed to like Feline Pine best when it was almost ready to be changed (i.e., soft sawdust and not pine nugets) so I decided to try this product--which is the exact texture of beach sand. Both cats immediately preferred it: during the switchover, I kept one box of Feline Pine and one of the Micro Crystals, and neither cat touched the Feline Pine for the two week "test period". And, after one month of use, my cat's ear sores have mostly healed. Following product directions, I use 2" of Micro Crystals in our two litter boxes: the boxes are 12x18" and 15x22". I've found that cats seem to like two different-sized boxes, for whatever kitty reason! As a note, the girl weighs 9 lbs., the boy weighs 10 lbs., which may give a better idea of our usage rate--which is one 7-lb. bag per month. With every poop, I scoop and flush. One of my must-haves in terms of litter performance is that whatever clings to the feces has to be flushable. The Litter Pearls package and website says that the few bits of silica coating the feces are not a problem for septic systems, and I've had no issues. Regarding usage, you absolutely MUST sift, swirl and "mash" the urine clumps in the silica to break them up and redistribute them into the remaining litter, otherwise you get hard lumps and clumps that cling to the sides and bottom of the box--this is what might make it appear that the litter is "used up". It takes a little longer to mash and sift the urine clumps than it did with the Feline Pine, and while this is slightly annoying, it seems a reasonable tradeoff so that my cat does not have ear blisters. There is a slight urine odor as soon as the cats pee, and right after I mash/sift, but that goes away completely after a few minutes--there is no urine odor at any other time. As others have mentioned, the litter starts out as blue and white silica sand granules, and over time, as it desiccates the urine, it turns into a green and white color, which I suppose is an indicator of when it's absorbed as much urine as it can. Regarding tracking, I keep our two litter boxes in a bathtub we don't use, and we only get a slight dusting of silica sand on the edge of the tub that I easily sweep back into a litter box. I've seen very small amounts of sand in the bathroom and elsewhere, but as another reviewer said, it's far less painful to step on sand in the middle of the night, than onto nuggets of hard clay or Feline Pine. I do have two issues with this product. First, when changing the litter and also when I mash/sift the urine clumps, the litter does give off a very noticeable silica dust, enough that it makes it uncomfortable to breathe. When doing the mashing/sifting, I literally have to hold my breath--and it takes about 4-5 "breath holds" to complete the job. I have some surgical masks that I think I'll start using, because it really is a bit overwhelming to me. The second issue I have is price. As I said, one 7-pound bag will last 30 days for my two cats. At $22 per bag, that's .73 cents per day--expensive. But since my cat's ears are better, I'll stick with this for now. The real test will be the summer months, when it's hot--and I'll see how well the urine odor is controlled under those circumstances.

Worth the Money
If you buy the Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals in the 7 pound bag (instead of two 3.5 pound bags) then you can save about $6 because you are not paying for the extra packaging. Ultra Pet Cat Litter Pearls Micro Crystals, 7-Pound Bag . Just use about half of the 7 pound bag and store the rest in an air tight container like an empty plastic kitty litter container with a lid. I switched to the Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals because my cat hated the crystal litter that comes with the ScoopFree Litter Box since cheaper crystal litters feel like walking on broken glass for my cat's overly sensitive paws. See ScoopFree Ultra Self-Cleaning Litter Box . Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals has the consistency of soft sands and works with the ScoopFree litter box. My cat now loves to poop in the Ultra Pet crystal litter since it is just like sand and took to it like a duck to water. The Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals also seem to have the added advantage of lasting about as twice as long as the cheaper crystal litter that comes with the ScoopFree machine (for my particular model) so the Ultra Pet Micro Pearls are worth the extra cost since you seem to get twice as much usage out of it. Some reviewers don't like the Ultra Pet Micro Pearls because they claim is sticks to the rake but I have not found that to be true on my model of the ScoopFree automatic litter box and you can always get the Ultra Pet Original Pearls that are larger to prevent caking on the rake if this is a problem. When the "Health Counter" reaches about 120 on the ScoopFree machine you know to change the litter assuming your cat urinates the normal amount of 4 times a day. The ScoopFree can run about a week before you have to empty out the poop compartment which is great if you have a busy job. Bottom line: you get what you pay for when you buy a quality crystal litter like Ultra Pet Pearl Micro Crystal since it seems to last longer on my machine because the smaller crystals with greater surface area seem to absorb more urine and moisture. Post Script: I have continued using the ScoopFree automatic litter box using Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals and a standard litter box using clumping clay litter for my one cat as recommended by the ASPCA, e.g. a backup litter box. My cat, over time, now uses the ScoopFree machine with the Ultra Pet Micro MUCH MORE than the standard litter box with clumping clay litter box. It appears that my cat now prefers the Ultra Pet Pearl Micro to that of standard clumping litter which totally amazed me. Finally, my cat in the summer time seems to pee in greater volumes causing the Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals to get used up sooner. If the health counter reaches 90 in the summer, the Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals turn green, or the cat seems to stop using the automatic litter box then change the spent crystal litter with fresh Ultra Pet Litter Pearl Micro Crystals.

Wow! This stuff is Great!
I rarely leave a review, but I felt on this superior product it was necessary. I started out my silica gel litter adventure with Pretty Litter. I thought that product was amazing, but then they were going to raise their prices and it seemed I couldn't get the right amount for our household based on their delivery options. It was either too many bags or too little bags. It's hard to to put my finger on it, but this is a better product. Somehow it's more absorbent with no little pile of pee gel on the bottom of the box. It hasn't started to smell, which pretty litter would at some point before the month was over (and I have a picky kitty with two boxes). I have no clue why, but my kitty doesn't kick as much out of the box. That could be a weird coincidence though. What little does land on the outside is easier on my feet and there's not as much carried about on her little feet. I'm glad I switched! I would recommend!

Good litter with a few drawbacks, and unfortunately doesn't meet "1 Cat 2 Months" claim.
After 3 bags, I'm torn on this litter. There's a lot I like about it, a few things I don't, but all in all I am not sure it is worth it. Pros: Lightweight bag: beats hauling around heavy bags / boxes of clay litter. Tidier around the litter box: Cat doesn't seem to throw it everywhere quite as much as clay litter. Easy / Less To Scoop: You're really just scooping solids, not big clods of clumped urine. So daily scooping is pretty quick and easy, and you have less matter to dispose of regularly. Easy periodic empty / replace: It doesn't stick to the pan near as much as clay. Again, it's lighter. Dump it in a trash bag, refill, no problem. Notice though that I say 'periodic' not monthly, though the instructions say to empty monthly... see cons below. Covers odor very well: While it works, it works really well, don't smell the catbox at all in the first week or so of a fresh batch, and my cat isn't amazing about burying his loads. Unfortunately, this effect wears off quickly, see cons. Cons: Dusty: And the dust seems... unnatural. Something I don't want myself or my cat to be breathing. Mostly just an issue when you stir it... which you do daily after scooping. Hard to gauge half a bag: Supposedly this bag will last 1 cat 2 months. So, pour in half the bag, scoop daily, dump pan after a month and pour in the other half of the bag. I never seem to manage equal halves, and half the bag really doesn't seem like enough of a layer in the pan. Doesn't last 1 month: Lucky if this lasts 3 weeks. Masks smells amazingly well for a couple of weeks, after that you'll notice when you scoop and stir that it isn't absorbing as well / quickly. Once you start getting the occasional whiff of 'cat box' smell in the area, act fast. When this stuff stops working, it fails completely at absorbing or masking odors and if your cat is like mine, they'll start looking for somewhere else to 'go'. And this will happen well before a month is over, regardless of daily scooping and stirring. Expensive: Better prices here that when I first bought it locally, but it's still questionable whether it's worth the price for such a small bag when it doesn't last anywhere near what is claimed on the bag. Also makes it hard to 'subscribe and save'. 1 "2 month" bag will last more than 1 month, but far less than 2 months. For now I am going to switch back to Dr. Easley's since it is finally available for a reasonable price again. I will see how long 40#, that cost the same amount as 7# of this lasts, and if it's worth it to deal with heavy clay again.

Good for tender paws and tracks less
I love that my female cat will now use the litter box since her paws don’t hurt. I have two cats, so the self-cleaning litter box doesn’t last very long. However, the litter doesn’t have an odor by the end. The counter just gets too high. It also tracks WAY LESS. I get about 2 changes per bag.

Changed my life❣️
I love this stuff so much I want to cry. My cat doesn't cover, and poops/pees in the same spot. She wants a jumbo uncovered litter box, so this has been a battle with unsightly and smelly litter boxes for a looooong time. (10 yrs). I've tried everything. Nothing was good enough. I've only tried two types of silica litters, though: the original litter pearls and some other kind of typical crystal litter. The crystal kind was too big and pointy; pearls didn't absorb well and was like playing in a miniature ball pit for the cats. All other clumping litters--"natural" or clay--had imperfections and I had to compromise this for that in all of them. Oh; my cat also pees a LOT. Her clumps and poo will fill the litter locker in a week. Plus the opening isn't big enough for her clumps, which led to a mess. All of these issues have made litter maintanence miserable. I use disposable litter boxes so that I can just throw it out rather than change the litter twice a month. It's safe to say I don't like chores. With this litter, it's less of a chore or more of a "hmm, I could do that right now." Like dusting a shelf or taking a glass to the kitchen. The poops dry up and and don't make the scoop gross. They get tossed right into the litter locker. The pee...omg it's like magic. It stays yellowish until you stir it around. It disappears! Completely! Even as much as my cat pees! TIP: if yours is slushy you may need to add more litter or get a larger box. I use a whole bag for one "jumbo" sized Nature's Miracle disposable litter box. I worried about the safety of the silica, but my cat literally just hops on with her paws on the edge and goes in the box then hops off. I don't know if diggers would have any adverse health effect from the silica dust, but considering how clean it stays I think that unless there's a study proving that it's dangerous, it's a healthy option.

Easier for my cat
I was using boxiecat pro but their product has become very dusty and large chunks of clay was starting to stick to his paws like glue so I tried this stuff so much nicer on the paws and very light. You do have to remember to stir to allow the crystals to absorb the pee. Much easier to clean the box as well. I do find I need a full change in 2-3 weeks would not last 4 weeks with my indoor cat. I really like it for absorbency and odor control.

Horribly dusty, feels and smells like chemicals
This product is actually more dusty than regular clay litter and because the pee is absorbed and does not clump, the entire litter smells of pee after only a few hours. The beads smell and feel like chemicals and the blue beads stain and leave traces behind in the litter, god knows what they're made out of. This gave my cat as asthma attack because it's so dusty. I was shocked to see how a big cloud of dust rose by just pouring it into the litter box. A dusty chemical-smelling cloud to be exact. Don't buy, stick with dust free clay litter if you cat has alot of allergies. The size of the bag is also very small for the high size. Overpriced and toxic. The only positive is it doesn't track in the house. No thanks.

Good product BUT
I like that product cause the litter is very smooth and lightweight. However, you have to kinda "mix" the litter EVERY DAY so the wet areas don't stay wet. I forget to do so, i'm doing it every 2-3 days but it has a very strong smell of ammonia ... i don't like it. Plus very poor amount for the price. I'm not gonna buy this product again, it's too high maintenance which is the opposite purpose of a litter.

Excellent, just as good as pretty litter
I used pretty litter for years, and while it was better than any litter I’d ever used before, I just couldn’t justify $50/month in litter. So I tried a few different crystal litters on Amazon, and this one is by far the best. One bag lasts my cat two months at least, there is no foul odour, and very little dust when scooping! Will continue buying, highly recommend!

Good alternative to Pretty Litter!
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Pretty Litter and am happy with this! It doesn't have the health indicator but thats not why I purchased Pretty Litter... I purchased it because I hate how clay Litter clumps at the bottom, and how awful it smells. This works as well as PL! I'm 21 days into the month and it's holding on strong for odour control. I just stir everyday and remove the poo. It is dusty though, where PL is not. The 7lb bag is actually larger than a PL bag, and actually fills my litter box too much. I think I could get a litter box and a half out of one bag! I am happy and will continue to purchase!
