A really good sized mat. I'm using one inside a metal cat litter tray, rather than the box provided. Just personal preference. Most cat scratching mats are rather small. This one isn't. One cat often sleeps on it too. Both cats are attracted to it and use it frequently. One mat will last ages because it's substantial. So the whole package is well worth it.

My cats love it. Certainly saved my furniture. I put catnip in the box as my cats have never had this kind of thing before and they love it. The cardboard is strong too so my hefty boys can't destroy it.

Strong good size didn't need assembly would recommend

One of my cats was destroying the wood on our banisters by scratching them. Neither of my cats are interested in things like cat beds, playful scratching posts etc. but they do love a box so I decided to try this item. It comes with the box and 5 replacement scratching bases for the box as shown in the pictures. For £21.99, it’s quite pricey for what it actually is (a cardboard box!) but I have spent similar if not more money on items that have never been used. Both cats immediately liked the box and didn’t need any encouragement to use it. They are scratching in the box which was the primary reason I got it and they also like to nap in it so a bonus really. I put double sided tape all over the banisters to deter my cat from scratching them so I don’t know if this box alone would’ve stopped the cat scratching elsewhere. In terms of size, the box fits my smaller cat in it with room to spare and the bigger British blue tabby cat. Whilst a little snug for her, she’s happy enough in it as you can see in the pics.

Does the job, cat likes it.

I hemmed and hawed over spending this kind of money for a box. A sturdy box, mind you, with multiple scratching pads, but it’s still a cardboard box. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and what can I say — my cat loves this thing like no other box she has loved before. Scratches the heck out of it, sleeps in it, gives me a death stare if I have to move it. She’s a big girl too, but lots of room for all the floof. Money well spent pampering my feline queen, for the best box money can buy.

Finally a scratcher that I don’t have to toss out after one go. My cats like it and the mess stays inside the box. Also love that the carton it came in has pre-made holes so you can also use it to make a stimulating game for your cat! Will definitely be ordering this again :)

My daughter buys these for her cats. So I thought I would give them a try. Love them. Well, my cat loves them, so I love them too. Now to break her habit of scratching the furniture.

Update: It is now May 2025 and this same box is amazingly still intact and in decent condition even with regular use by our cats and constant heat and humidity exposure out on our porch. I just have to replace the scratching pad from time to time, because the cats wear them down. A great value for the price and for the enjoyment it brings to our fuzzy felines. We purchased this on 4/3/2021 for our three cats and placed it out on our screened porch. All three of them love scratching in it, but one of them in particular (see picture) sleeps in it regularly and has pretty much claimed it as his own. Although the box has been on the porch for 4 months now (today is August 3rd), it's still in excellent shape and we've only used one of the cardboard inserts. I did turn the insert over when one side became pretty ragged. That's surprising longevity, given that it's on a screened porch in Florida subjected to summer heat and humidity. Although it's in a place where it doesn't get directly rained on, we've had rain almost daily now for a couple of months. The cardboard box is coated and that seems to be enough to protect it. I've tried a lot of different cardboard scratchers over the years and this one is as durable or more durable than any of them. Every now and then we sprinkle on a little catnip (see the video), but given how much our one cat in particular loves the box, I don't even think that would be necessary. It's now one of his favorite places to sleep. As a frame of reference, he's about 14 pounds - so a pretty decent-sized boy, and there's plenty of room for him.
