Replaceable AA battery?

No. The batteries are not replaceable. I've never found this to be a problem because, by the time the battery runs out, the bristles should be replaced as well. So actually, I've found this to be a good thing. It reminds me to change toothbrushes at reasonable intervals.

Are these soft? many of the reviewers state that they ordered soft but received medium. thanks.

The ones I received are at least medium...definitely not soft
