Will the head fit in a 5 gal bucket

The head of the Squeegee is approximately 15". So it depends on how wide your bucket is. I doubt it would fit, but maybe 2/3rds of it would pick up the solution if the squeegee is tilted. I use an elongated bucket, which is what I suggest you use. The squeegee works well on a larger SUV windshield.

Can i buy a replacement head?

The last time I looked a replacement head was not avialable. Hopefully the company will reconsider. For now, you have to buy both the pole and head combo.

Standard (push broom, paint roller, car wash brush, etc.) screw-in poles fit?

Just to answer this question, I went and tried it on a standard thread, wooden pole handle we have had for a long long time and normally use it with a brush to wash the car and yes, it screwed on beautifully. I also tried it on a metal pole I bought on Amazon and it worked on it also. I had the same fears when I bought it too, but I am totally happy that it fits my no-name wooden pole and my brand name metal pole (not same name as squeegee).
