A smaller book with a bigger 'heart'!
I loved this book from first page to last! I have a number of books on this subject and hers is by far the best. Despite its smaller size, it packs a lot of information within and her writing style is also very appealing. She covers all the bases without wringing the life out of them; Hygge is a fairly simple concept after alI. If you only want one book on the subjec, this is the one I would recommend.

Wonderful insights about down time Nordic style
Bronte auriel gives her readers insight intoHygge. If you have Nordic ancestors, thereIs insight into how they survived. Great read.

Very disappointed.
I have a friend with this cookbook. I was expecting mine to be bigger in size--- the size of most cookbooks. It's only 5 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Hard to read and handle. Very disappointed.

This book should be added to your collection of Hygge books
This was a very quick read for me. I picked it up at the library at 4:00 and by 9:00 I was done reading it. I enjoyed the way the author talked about Hygge and her experiences with it. She also compares Danish, Norwegian, and the Swedish and the way they all practice Hygge. There were many great recipes included in this book - a few in which I plan on making for myself. At the beginning of each recipe she tells a story behind the recipe. I like this added personal touch. There are also quotes at the beginning of the chapters which I enjoyed. One of my favorites is a Julia Child quote - A party without a cake is just a meeting. This is a book that you should add to your collection.

Finally a real danish hygge book
After a year of incessant publishing of 'thisishygge' books trying to sell unsuspecting not Danish people the way to be happy, Danish style it is SUCH A RELIEF to finally, finally read a Hygge book that is truly portraying Danish Hygge. Not the hitherto 'buy this and your home will be Hyggeligt' but the situations, emotions and memories that reflect what the real super power of Hygge is. And the recipes are an added bonus (they are yummy, trust me)I am Danish and this book made me cry with happiness

Amazing!
A fantastic little book. Since buying it I’ve bought all the full size recipe books and am happily working my way through the recipes. Every recipe has come out perfectly. This is a little book (in size) that has lots of recipes mixed with some scandi philosophy. Would make a beautiful little gift, if you can bear to part with it. I’m completely obsessed with scandi baking now. Semlor buns, cinnamon buns, apple cake.... nomnomnom!

A nice 'Greatest Hits' of ScandiKitchen recipes
I love this tiny book, I took it out from the library then bought my own copy. The reason is: it contains about 30 lovely recipes, from the other Scandikitchen books I think , and it is a nice compendium of their best recipes. It is tiny and easy to read, very well laid out, with beautiful pictures and a few articles about hygge, but mostly its a great little collection of recipes. Well worth its reasonable price.

Lovely if you don’t have any Scandikitchen books
The title says it all. What is a bit annoying is that it’s mainly a selection of recipes from her other books reprinted in a different format. If you don’t own her other books, great (as they work and are really nice). Otherwise don’t bother.

Absolutely brilliant little book
Absolutely brilliant little book, great recipes and very Scandinavian. Would make a perfect present to send in the post as it is small and totally delightful and quite light but packed with true and pure Hygge!
